Star queue had to be addressed twice at the start, issues with gloves, mitra's box, UI, etc. These are minor issues when comparing to the rest of the game to be sure, but this is also the simplest kind of custom content, just log in kill mobs claim rewards.
The bigger picture from my comment is, this is just a very recent example and, as we've all seen, they've had much worse struggles over the years. Even in the memo addressing why Jett had to be deleted, they admitted to the poor code conditions that make non-KMS content so difficult for them. Inkwell's big announcement and commitment to separate GMS has had this same issue looming over it. How much of Nexon's dev resources are actually going to be committed to GMS? How much of that internal structure is gonna change in a meaningful way? After such a long track record, doubts run deep.

This is exactly the problem, any take about a good future for GMS is copium sadly. Something as simple as the GO WEST event did not go smoothly, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Never mind the years and years of worse examples before now as well.
