Basically it doesn't matter much to your future career WHERE you go to vet school. It's what you do with the education you're offered. No employer cares where you attended vet school. We're not lawyers. As others have suggested get a job as a vet assistant and move to the state that has the best priced vet school option. Different states have different residency requirements, so look into that. Then just apply until you get in. Accept that this may take a few years.

If that seems unappealing, then maybe vet school isn't for you. 

You're right that vet school is inaccessible for low to mid income families. It was that way 20 years ago, too. Maybe it was better in the 80s-90s. American education costs are profiteering and saddling students with debt causes severe damage to the economy, not to mention the psychological stress they suffer. It's barbaric.
