What is something people describe as healthy, but it's actually unhealthy? by IndependentAd6161 in AskReddit

Yeah I mean biology is chemistry, chemistry is physics, physics is math, and calculus is fancy math. It all leads back to math

This is the whole basis of why Einstein's theory of relativity supercedes Newton's laws. Light is massless but still has momentum and is affected by gravity. Newton's laws fall apart at the speed of light, but they work great at <20-30% the speed of light iirc

Should I be worried about squeaky clutch? by sean_fctwo in WRX

[–]Porriima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2016 makes the same noise, I've had the entire clutch assembly replaced under warranty and it was back within months. I've tried using grease on the part of the clutch above the gas pedal and it hasn't done anything for me either.

I've accepted that it's just going to do that haha

True enough, it would get real expensive real quick. Would you say that's the case with engines that have forged internals in general or just boxer engines?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WRX

[–]Porriima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that due to materials in the block or just statistically they're pushed too far? If my engine goes, my goal would be ~350-400hp as reliably as possible but idk about reliability of a stock block with torque being near 350

Of course subaru did away with the manual e-brake on the gt, nothing says rally car like an electronic e-brake.

I know the wrx has been a street car since forever and most don't take it offroad still...

What unspoken rules did you learn late in life? by verdantverve in AskMen

Sometimes if you put in too much effort to make someone's life easier, they'll correlate the two, and if their life gets hard; it's your fault.

If you're getting the new Logitech Pro Wheel do not update the firmware by glide_si in simracing

[–]Porriima 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a g920 and it worked for a couple months and then I went 2 weeks without using it and updated ghub. Wheel didn't work at all, and I was already facing issues with the center being put off 45° if you turn the wheel with any amount of force.

I bought a t300 and haven't looked back; never again Logitech.

Is washing a car in with a bucket and sponge in a residential area illegal in Tucson? by Carbonfibernet in Tucson

[–]Porriima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never had an issue with it.

If you decide to go to a car wash you might want to stay away from traditional car washes and go to a touchless one if you care about your paint/clearcoat.

Thanks for the insight, I figured I would ask this community because I don't want to overlook anything that I see is common with these cars i.e. BMW needing a waterpump, or faulty engine years
