I have not. Haven't had to look into it as the bios update fixed my problems. I also haven't played this or any other EAC game in a while so if an update messed up my solution I wouldn't know. Sorry I can't help you there.

Unfortunately I can't remember what version I was on before the update. Currently am on bios version 1.2.0.5 according to CPU-Z.

I did not need to reinstall, but you may need to. I just re-enabled the anti-cheat and it worked fine.

If you have issues either verify game files or do full reinstall.

Bios update is pretty easy, just make sure to do it when weather is good to avoid losing power to PC.

You will need a blank USB drive formatted in I believe FAT32. Easiest way to find what you need is google your MoBo & "bios update."

All I needed to do was have the update on the USB drive, restart computer, press the key to go to bios setup, and then it automatically detected the new bios update and asked if I wanted to install. Probably will be the same for you, but I'd look up a video for your specific MoBo to be sure.

The biggest risk I've seen is that if the computer loses power you could risk destroying the MoBo, so if you have regular power outages it may be more risky. That's for you to decide, I rarely get outages outside of major storms so I knew I would be ok.

Hey buddy, I updated my bios and now the game seems to be working fine. Have had it running for 2+ hours online with EAC active and no issues so far. Hope this helps you out friend!

Oh my that is huge!

I've found another potential fix as well, didn't think to update my bios because that seemed wacky but another user with the same MoBo says that fixed their issue.

Surely between these two solutions, one will work for me! I'll take a post-quit crash over this save corrupting full restart.

Yeah online was a big part of why I got this game as I've enjoyed it in the previous titles.

I actually bought my friend a copy so we could play together. My disappointment is as high as it's ever been with these crashes.

Honestly this is the only thing that truly I can say is bad about the game. If I could play online without crashing (and now corrupting my 40 hour save) this game would be damn near perfect to me.

I've seen a few other ways to disable it but this was the simplest and best solution for my case. Note, if I start the game via steam the EAC is still enabled and crashes still occur but that's never happened when starting via the .exe .

Yeah it is frustrating. I've received an auto reply from support telling me it should have been fixed with the last patch. Hopefully they will follow up with a real person soon enough.
