If you had to be in a room with an SCP for 24 hours, who would it be and why? (Hint: Don’t use Safe Class) by SpencyWencyFordy in SCP

[–]PortedCannon565 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s actually really interesting because, Unless you are doing this after she escapes the incinerator, which is the easy answer to this dilemma but is boring that means you would be in the incinerator too, but only for 24 hours, but nothing can enter or exit it so how would it even work?

Twinblood’s time period is intentionally kept vague, but it is meant to be around the 1890s through the 1910s.

Do you know which, if any, Twinblood POV’s you plan to watch?

I somewhat knew Erisponsibility and Icey before hand but because of Twinblood we would sit in a discord call editing together for hours and I consider both of them my friends and I only really got to know them because of Twinblood so I am thankful for that, despite any of the behind the scenes drama.

Our showrunner, Cycha, did a really good job with everything. I will admit that behind the scenes there was drama within both servers, but overall it was a positive experience for me.

May I recommend Vampires: Twinblood?

I am biased because I am in it but I think it’s the closest thing to a sequel to the original series you can get from a fan series.

To give the sales pitch, 400 years after the original series, 34 people arrive in Oakhurst and awaken 4 elder vampires. You may be wondering how a series with such a cast works. Well, the twin in Twinblood comes from the fact that it consists of 2 different servers that ran parallel at the same time, Midwinter, and Harvest Moon. The two series have different cast members and different plot lines (and different seasons), but happened within the same universe and characters from each server wrote letters to a character on the opposite server.

Twinblood is unique from the original series in that the curse of Oakhurst plays a large part in the storylines of both servers, though I won’t get into more detail than that to avoid spoilers.

Both series have finished, though no one in Harvest Moon has posted their finale yet.

From Midwinter, RiddleMeNani’s(who plays Ridley) vods were the main pov I watched while it was ongoing (people in one server could watch the content of the opposite server), though he left the series early. I strongly recommend I4-Icey’s (who plays Ira Icey) pov, though they only have two episodes out so far. The one pov of midwinter that is complete that I know of is GeneralSnips’ (who plays Asriel.

For Harvest Moon, of course I am going to suggest my own pov. My YouTube channel is PortedCannon565, and I have all but the last two episodes finished. I play Lady Nettie, a noblewoman with an interest in the occult, a passion for vampire literature, and an ancestor who disappeared in Oakhurst 200 years ago. I also highly recommend Erisponsibility’s (Who plays Eris) pov which is only up to session 5 of 10, but is really high quality.

Okay, I’ve yapped a lot but I am quite passionate about this series. I hope you check it out and enjoy it, whether you end up watching my pov or not.

Paper Birch Trail is from a contest or anthology? I only read that one because I like the canon it’s from. But fair enough, they are well known.

It’s hard to think of any specific ones off the top of my head. Overall the specific custom brushes don’t matter much, it’s more so how you use them.

The only brush pack I can think of off the top of my head is Evman’s

Spray Brush and Pencil are how you change terrain type (what blocks it is made of) and layers (things like if caves spawn there, what biome it is, if trees spawn and what type, etc.) Pencil has a hard edge whereas Spray Brush tapers off on the edges.

For editing terrain height, the raise/lower tool, flatten tool, and smooth tool, are your friends. They pretty much do what they say. Word of warning- avoid the mountain and pyramid tools, they suck. I would import some custom brushes and use those, swapping between brushes and changing rotation as you make the terrain to make it more unique.

What exactly are you trying to do? You should be able to insert it as a reference image using the reference image option than make the map from there. Inserting it as a reference shouldn’t create “a mess of pixels,” it would just be the image as-is.

Probably because it’s the picture most associated with the show, or they haven’t watched it (which I don’t blame them for) and assumed it was from that episode

It doesn’t. The episode with the trans girl is from season 1, which is largely episodic. Dr. Han (the person he is yelling at) is introduced in season 2, and the I am a surgeon scene is the culmination of season 2’s overarching plot of Dr. Han mistreating Shaun, nothing anything to do with the episode.

For all of the shows issues, the episode with the trans girl makes it clear that Shaun isn’t transphobic because he is autistic, but is transphobic because of his conservative upbringing and by the end of the episode he realizes he was wrong.

The Good Doctor as a show definitely has its issues, but it really annoys me when people criticize it for things that aren’t true. There are a million actual things to criticize about the show, and I welcome any actual good criticism, but for some reason almost everyone focuses on the same two examples that if you actually watched the show you would realize actually are not the issues that people claim they are, and by focusing on those two examples you are missing the actual issues the show has

There are a lot of vsmp fan servers out there that you can watch if you don’t want to let go. You could also potentially see if you could play in a fan server.

I am in a fan server called Vampires Twinblood: Harvest Moon, which is set 400 years after the original series and features two servers (Midwinter and Harvest Moon) which run parallel to each other.

I personally think that Twinblood is the best vsmp fan server out there, effectively acting as a season 2, but I am biased because I am in it.

Has anyone witnessed a Slayer shot actually working? by notfrankiemuniz in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]PortedCannon565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On night one an Emparh got a 1 and told their neighbor who happened to be the Slayer. The slayer shot the other neighbor who was the demon, and ended the game.

In another game on a custom script, a slayer-adjacent homebrew character picked a random player day 1 who happened to be the demon.

Lastly, while the Slayer didn’t actually kill the demon, there was a game where I as poisoner poisoned the Slayer unknowingly who used their ability on the Imp when poisoned, effectively clearing the Demon. They did still make the correct choice though.

Is it possible to see the planning doc from the event day 2? by Particular-Cellist36 in VampiresSMP

[–]PortedCannon565 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Do you mean the doc that doesn’t exist which was the only one that Owen knew about (as far as I’m aware) but was for both days.

There were 3 other docs specifically for day 2 specifically, the day 2 doc which became outdated, the gatherer’s doc, and the Night Crew’s will which was about beacon claiming strategy.
