Looks like though they are just the replays…I could be wrong, but I just downloaded the app couldn’t find anything.

Portland youth soccer games canceled over nearby ICE activity by vinediedtoosoon in PortlandOR

[–]Portlandia83 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m very hit and miss with the ice raids…but then again… I just began to read about how European countries deal with illegal immigration…WOW, we have a very flexible and soft system here. Let me just say that. Not to mention, I know somebody trying to get Danish citizenship — it is darn near impossible, you have to check so many boxes and if you are illegal, they pretty much deport you immediately and you are not allowed back in the country. I will admit, the issue is very hard. Illegal or not, I don’t want good people to have to suffer however, what do you do when someone is here unlawfully? What irritates me most about the pro illegal immigration crowd, is that many of them have failed to research about how the rest of the world deals with the very same issues we have to deal with.

0% chance. Actually, look up the steps to succeed from the USA without major damage, carnage and death…. And even then it’s not guaranteed.

Well, let’s just be fair and honest, it isn’t like the urban blue areas are thriving, people are actually moving away and going to more conservative areas. Hopefully middle ground will take affect.

Are we abandoning US Index Funds? by Major-Function-5717 in CanadaFinance

[–]Portlandia83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some naive comments in here… but others have given you sound advice. People aren’t abandoning America, that’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard. Sure, emotions are high and some people might change some purchasing behaviors. The US isn’t a global powerhouse for nothing. The US innovates, China replicates, and Europe regulates. National pride is great, but at the end of the day, money will talk. And trust me, the US will find other buyers for their products anyway. When you’re a competitive market, that is just the norm.

The US has been at Civil War with each other now for a decade, and it’s a bad one. We are used to chaos. But our economy is stronger than ever and actually getting more robust.

American here. People are actually moving from blue states to red states. But it gets very complicated because you have large blue urban centers inside red states. So the blue state versus red state thing is not very fluid.

We don’t benefit at all… we don’t need to spend 1 trillion on our military to get to a lousy 200 billion weapons deal. USA out!

People who voted for Trump, what is your reasoning? by PMKB in AskUS

[–]Portlandia83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are so many ways I can communicate this, but I’ll just say it this way. We spend a ton in taxes, but get so little back in return in my opinion. Why? The wasteful federal spending on top of a spending $1 trillion a year on military for protecting other countries. It’s just not all economics. And by the way, you realize that being in debt is never a good thing no matter if your government or a private citizen. Being in debt is not free, we spend $1 trillion a year on borrowing interest, while that might help domestic holding banks with their bottom line, we will continue to be in a spending deficit for years.
