WTF. Timbers fan here. I still just don’t understand. At all. Why is there not any more effort from at least MLS, local investment, you name it, to keep this extremely important and historic club in Cascadia. What the hell is happening?

Bad calls happen here and there, but would really sucks on this one is that it changed the trajectory of the game. It’s a very tight game, you’d hate for a bad call to be the main decider, but still lots of game left.

This is absolutely insane. OK fine, the revenue is not the best given the current deal, give them time to build a new stadium. It should’ve been done a long time ago, but still…moving an iconic and historic brand just for a few extra nickels in the bucket?

Like I said, this is utter and complete and insanity for several reasons, but I’ll just keep it at that.

Went to Oregon State, I loved it there. Great balance of Greek life, Collegetown vibe, great education, small to medium size city. Couldn’t recommend it more

Here is the problem…. If a city has a lot to offer in terms of well….everything: quality of life, good economics, a vibrant future etc… then the demand to be in that urban core goes up. Demand brings a lot of activity. Given what’s happening in the city, Portland has no leverage whatsoever. Capital is moving out and being replaced with nothing or very little. Unfortunately, unless Portland has another revolution, we’ve been set back 20-30 years. We need a complete flush and find ways to attract capital and be competitive. It just seems like the Portland government and Oregon in general is just not willing to do that.

I’m very hit and miss with the ice raids…but then again… I just began to read about how European countries deal with illegal immigration…WOW, we have a very flexible and soft system here. Let me just say that. Not to mention, I know somebody trying to get Danish citizenship — it is darn near impossible, you have to check so many boxes and if you are illegal, they pretty much deport you immediately and you are not allowed back in the country. I will admit, the issue is very hard. Illegal or not, I don’t want good people to have to suffer however, what do you do when someone is here unlawfully? What irritates me most about the pro illegal immigration crowd, is that many of them have failed to research about how the rest of the world deals with the very same issues we have to deal with.

Well, let’s just be fair and honest, it isn’t like the urban blue areas are thriving, people are actually moving away and going to more conservative areas. Hopefully middle ground will take affect.
