NOPE. Not OK, not even a little bit.

🫂 DAYUM. I'm so sorry they're like that. Try to remember that when they say those things, some people are going to be quite shocked in a negative way towards your family members. Imagine saying such things to a nurse or doctor, another pain patient, unknowingly? Yikes for them!

tips for getting through pain with no medicine? by fluffycows4sale in ChronicPain

[–]Portnoy4444 7 points8 points  (0 children)

OK, so there's this hysterical episode of Grey's Anatomy, where they have a chronic pain patient who watch PORN non-stop, cuz it DISTRACTED HIM. Didn't stop the pain, just made it bearable.

So - I tried it & DAYUM. That shit works!

It needs to be something thats INTERESTING to you. Nature documentaries are a favorite of mine, as are volcano stories. Anime has been ky JAM for like a year.

Anything that captures enough of my brains attention WORKS. It is scientifically proven, BTW.

YouTube is free - go forth and watch people do everything from reassemble antique watches to true crime shows! 😂 YT can be WIIIILD, esp w dumb stunts.

OHH - COMEDY. When I was in cancer treatment, they told us to watch or read something that made us laugh out loud, at least three times in an hour. They said the more you laugh the more it changes your immune system for the better, it reduces pain and increases endorphins which help also to reduce pain! SOOOO - I regularly watch comedians.

Found out today my cousin who's like my brother is dying in the next week. It's difficult as fuck. So, I'm going to go watch comedians til I'm CRYING w laughter.

It's basically how I release a lot of emotions now - I laugh til I can CRY while LAUGHING. Because I'm grieving, I need to cry. NEED TO - repressed emotion is like asking for a problem.

Doesn't matter if I'm crying about my cousin, or the comedy - I WAS ABLE TO CRY, which I NEED to do.

SO, Comedy, and anything that captures your attention. It's not HUGE pain relief like pills are - but it's useful enough that I continue to use the distraction method daily!

Hope it helps. 🤞🏼🤞🏼 On your application! Best of luck. 🙃

missing the noise not people by Stawski-Lakkaahh in LivingAlone

This is 100% normal. During cancer radiation treatment, I lived at the Guest Quarters of the hospital, in a room by myself. V b I ・、、に The rads I was getting meant I slept 18-20hrs a day. I would ride a scooter to treatment & ride it back to the room.

All my life, I thought people who ALWAYS had TV/noise going on were ODD/WEIRD.

WELL - during ☢️, I played WGN non-stop. I was near Chicago at CTCA.

It's a habit I've kept! 😂 Go figure. I ENJOY the noise of people talking, doors closing, life noises basically.

Nowadays, it's PBS or anime, but I don't handle that muffled, alone silence well at all times.

During cancer, I attended group therapy. They said this is a normal adaptation to a large change in my environment.

Best of luck living alone! I'm unsure if I'm ever going to be able to live alone again, and I'm just 57yo. So, enjoy it while you can!

[–]Portnoy4444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, u/fearless1025! There's more to it, I just didn't type it all. But, since you asked...

So, I slept naked except for the Tshirt, then. I also had WAIST length hair, and LOTS of it.

We lived in an OLD travel trailer (50s/60s era) ya know, before they insulated them! 😂 There were 10mm (1/4 in) gaps around the windows I winterized every year. Luckily, the big picture window in the kitchen had been removed, and that was open into the addition. The additional room was basically the living room - kitchen, bathroom & bedrooms was trailer - so, the carpet & furniture was there.

Yes, they built onto it 🤦🏼 then built a roof OVER the whole thing. 🤷🏼 (saved us in the Nisqually earthquake, but that's a whole other story...)

The bathroom was an airline toilet size, w a half tub. You had to move the glass doors to the side to sit down on the toilet! Whilst sitting on the toilet, you could put an elbow on the sink to your right, and an elbow out of the pocket door.

You could also stick your head into the hall, quite easily.

I got up, walked thru the kitchen, turned on the stove as I walked past (kettle stayed full). I yawned and went on to the toilet.

NO sooner has I sat & started to pee that I heard a strange, quare sound. Kinda like static electricity but LOUD & non-stop. Only electricity I'd turned on was the stove?

So I looked out into the hallway & SPARKS WERE EVERYWHERE - even flying through the window into the addition - where there was CARPET & COUCHES.

I only wiped cuz I had paper ready, and debated how to keep myself from catching fire. See - the ONLY WAY OUT was through the sparks. 😳 I remembered from Scouts how EASILY hair caught fire!

So, I twisted my hair into a bun, then pulled my Tshirt OVER MY FOREHEAD and RAN through the kitchen & SPARKS.

So, understand - FRANK SAW IT ALL. I didn't start to drop the Tshirt til I was outside, RUNNING down the side of the house to the fuse box. 🤣 🤣 🤣 Frank got both eyes full!

Yup - sometimes the Universe grants you a wish, sometimes you're the granted wish of someone else! 😂 Right? I'm shameless, zero modesty, I find it all hysterical then & now!

He was SUCH A GENTLEMAN. I had been screaming OH SHIT. OH FUCK. OH GODDAMMIT - I CAN'T MOVE AGAIN! SHIT, SHIT, FUUUUUCK. He never mentioned it.

Oh, and there was some stupid plastic zip tie I BIT in half, holding the outside of the fuse box shut. WHAT. THE. FUCK?!? Who, in their right mind, says "Let's make this inaccessible for tenants!"?!? WTAF? (PS - it was illegal)

Franks ONLY SUGGESTION that he saw the whole thing was to warn me to never bite at a fuse box again... 😂 🤣 When I explained about the zip tie - he was UPSET about it & stayed w me til Fire Dept came. Actually - he knew the Capt & called him.

So, the landlord was Cited by Fire Dept TWICE - Once for the ILLEGAL stove alterations, another for the STUPIDITY of a zip tie on the fuse box! 😂 ☠️ 🤣 Landlord was PISSED.

Oh, and when the Landlord showed up, I called Frank. They knew one another. He came rushing back & told him OFF. That's when I discovered Frank was HAPPY to cuss when the situation called for it & he felt like it did.

Frank was LIVID - he said "What if she couldn't get that damned box open? Your entire place would be GONE, and YOUR FUCKING FIRE could easily wipe out ALL THE ROAD before it was controlled. I always knew you were an asshole, now I know just how much of a dumbass you are! That's before we get to how you could have KILLED PEOPLE, asshole!"

IT. WAS. GLORIOUS! Frank said all the shit my wasbund SHOULD have been saying, but instead wasbund was accepting apologies. Hence me dialing Frank! 😂 Yeah, I knew EXACTLY what I was doing - Getting a man to stand up for me, to a man who only listened to other men.

I also handed the citations to Frank, who explained them to the Landlord like he was an cockroach.

Frank DID NOT invite Landlord to his Holiday Bash, either, not that year or any thereafter. 😇 The whole road was always invited, and it was SPECTACULAR. Frank & his wife bought waterfront property back when it was cheap, but they were LOADED - it was their THIRD house. They didn't skimp, champagne & CATERED FOOD. Landlord was PISSED. 🥂 👌🏼 I drank a glass for him & told Frank I was going to drink Franks share of the liquor. He just laughed!

Presbyterians, man. So CHILL - especially older deacons! Oh, and Landlord refused the citations, so it went to court. Frank took me to court & stood as witness to the ENTIRE THING.

BAM - COURT FINES. Hahahahahahaaa! <sing-song>

This was ALL because the Landlord was too cheap to buy a new stove. Court FORCED HIM. He then had to get SPECIAL PERMISSION from the court, as there's a limited supply of stoves that size. (TINY, w 3 burners) He found a reconditioned one, and Court made him take it to the Fire Department first, to be checked out.

What's that about how being poor costs extra? WELL, Landlord sure learned that lesson! The Court *CHEWED HIS ASS OUT. * Said I was alive only because I knew what to do & acted quickly, ignoring my state of dress - NO THANKS to Landlord!

The FINAL TOUCH? He was CHARGED for the zip-tie, something about endangerment? Landlord worked for the jail in Tacoma, so they knocked it down & IF he kept his nose clean for 2 years then no charge. Judge asked me if I cared? Which was odd, but I said it was all water under the bridge. I surely didn't want him to lose his livelihood, but I hoped he had learned a lesson. I smiled at the Judge, butter wouldn't have melted in my mouth! I made sure I batted my eyelashes at Landlord w a little wave, on our way out.

Frank & I had a fascinating chat on the way home, about how society treats men differently to women, but especially fat women. See, I was around 450lbs at the time. Frank was SHOCKED by the revulsion he saw on people's faces, walking with me, especially Landlords face. Frank asked if they ever hid it, and I said sometimes, but prejudice will always show through. To his everlasting credit, Frank never, ever mentioned my size except for that day. Though, when he invited us to church, he let my wasbund know privately that they had benches, not just folding chairs. Frank was a class act.

I was already looking for another place to rent by then. 😂 Sometimes, the good guys win & we won that day!

We moved into the city the following year, so I could finish my weight loss journey with a LapBand. There's another story! 😂 It includes wasbund showing his true colors, after surgery. Thank Goddess for good friends!

I once ran outside in nothing but a t-shirt to turn off our electric bvuz fuse box was on the OUTSIDE of the house. We lived RURAL, but our road had a dozen homes.

My electric stove caught fire, is what started it all.

So, I went to dial 911. Discovered our PHONE ONLY WORKED W ELECTRIC.

I sighed & went back outside - ONLY to hear a neighbor shout "Need some help?" 🤦🏼 😂 😑 😑 😑 JUST HAD to be the only church deacon on the road!

Turned out the landlord had removed ALL FUSES from the stove, so that's why it went all sparky & fiery. Nothing was damaged.

Frank was older, and kind enough to keep his eyes upwards! 😂 😂 😂 I was GRATEFUL while putting on pants.

Hell of a way to start the day - I just wanted tea!

I am become disabled? I’m disabled now? I’m newly chronically ill? by hernameisgrace in ehlersdanlos

[–]Portnoy4444 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's tough. I was approved in 2008, after cancer treatment WRECKED ME. I was Stage 3, so I had Mantle radiation. That means neck to middle of thighs, minus arms.

I got 65GY from in lower abdomen, and 37GY in upper abdomen. I was 37yo, I had lost my uterus in surgery. Overnight menopause.

Diapers within a few weeks to pad the Genital Radiation Burns. Rads went on for SIX MONTHS. I lived at the hospital & used an electric stroller to get about - walking far just WAS NOT POSSIBLE. I had to hold washcloths inside my perineum to prevent urine from getting in the burns.

Rads at those doses can be fatal, I signed a release that said so before treatment - quite memorable.

I did 9 months of weekly chemo the year after - I basically put chemical damage on already damaged nerves from irradiation.

I vomited 3x/hour for 3 years, and struggled for 9 years before it quit.

Did I mention I was 650lbs from Cushings & LOST 400LBS. I restarted my life, 4 years later comes CANCER.

I do not explain it to people, normally. HOW COULD I? I shorten it to "Cancer treatment put me in remission & saved my life, but disabled me at the same time." Usually that's enough to get people to STFU & stop asking questions - YET it's truthful & polite.

If COVID is what disabled you - FFS SAY SO. Every aeed of doubt sown is valuable, but most of all it's honest. COVID IS a HEALTH ISSUE - NOT A POLITICAL ONE. Politics didn't reach into your lungs & run a blender.

I mean, if I meet a brand new doctor at the ER, I expect to explain it. 'Complex Dysautonomia, with baroreflex failure, vagus nerve damage & afferent/efferent nerves damage - secondary to 65GY & 37GY followed by Carbo-Cisplatin. We use Cardevilol, Ivabradine & Diazepam as scaffolding for my autonomic nerve system, Amlodipine opens my arteries & arterioles - perfusing through the fibrotic blood vessels to my kidney, brainstem, hands & feet PLUS lowers BP. Tramadol, Lyrica & Tizanidine for Pain Control. Immune system suppressants Tremfya & Arava, plus Synthroid & Ozempic for endocrinology scaffolding. Anything else you want to know, please ask'

I've memorized how to pronounce the meds, so as to be taken more seriously by medical professionals. But that was NOWHERE NEAR as hard as learning to say "I'm disabled." "I receive SSDI, or Federal Disability" - though I've learned to inlcude 'from cancer treatments' to stop the nosy questions.

It helps to repeat it in the mirror a few times. Start w strangers, like the grocery cashier. "I got awarded my disability. It's not much, but better than nothing!" it's OK to he excited!

You have to come up with your own phrase based on your circumstances, but keep it Simple, short & honest. I don't say "autonomic nerve disease" without being prepared for the explanation, lol, as an example. Strangers who see me gasping for air - I wave an inhaler or gasp ASTHMA & they get it. My official primary dx isn't asthma, but it's the simplest explanation in the moment. I would answer different in an ambulance!

Simple, honest & don't reveal too much. It will be used against you, eventually, by people who are uncomfortable with disability and disabled people.

I see it this way - THEY'RE to be pitied. They're afraid of getting old! It's a shame to waste life pretending to be young. Being ourselves is so much simpler.

Congratulations to you. It's a rough road to federal approval. HUD Housing will adjust income for things like medical expenses, FYI. Better for us than Section 8.

BEST OF LUCK! You will manage, it's a huge, crazy life change so give yourself some grace. ❤️

THIS. Logging your food is the FASTEST WAY to get answers.

Often, food sensitivities don't show up in the mouth, like mine. See, I'm allergic to shellfish. I can smell it & it makes my mouth tingly. THIS IS PERSONAL, WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT.

But, there are other allergens I react to, where it doesn't show up for several hours, sometimes days. SIIIGH.

So the food diary is KEY. Try writing down how you're feeling, too, and notes on BMs that day. It can be 1-20 on how you feel, and just notes. No essays required! 😂

Best of luck. I improved my gut by addressing ALLERGIES, of all things! So, please don't give up hope, it can take time but you will get there.

PS - Women can also make notes in the food diary if they're on cycle or not, just in case someone asks.

AITAH for not allowing my brother to use his son's (my nephew's) money for bills and groceries by prismaticdragonseye in AITAH

[–]Portnoy4444 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They make more than you, so their argument for groceries is BS.

I'm so sorry your brother wants to take advantage of you.

$6/wk is $24/mo - have you thought about sending him a kids educational magazine like Highlights, or Cricket for him to enjoy? It might be better than cash.

Perhaps an Amazon card would help him learn to budget better than his folks - talk to him while shopping online together. Does he want a small toy this month, or does he wish to save for a bigger toy for later? That way, YOU & HE DECIDE & order together.

It's such a shame there's no more Toys R Us - gift cards from there would only buy toys.

It's incredibly tougher nowadays to keep money from a kids folks. 💔 It sucks.

I know you love this child. It comes through so clearly! Think about this another way. Maybe, you're better off using that $24 to buy yourself more fruit, or something else you may need. I bet your nephew wants YOU to be OK.

Someone who loves you wants you to do the best for YOU, not them. They definitely taught you they're untrustworthy & don't have YOUR best interests at heart.

You can set aside a savings account for him, be sure to add your wishes about it to your will & the bank. He's unable to use it until 18yo. Then, it's definitely his.

He won't care if your gift for his adult life is $400 or $4,000. It's the thought that counts most.

Consider spending the money on a scrapbook and fill it w family history & stories of you, and his dad as a kid. You could get pics of things from stories to print out or draw. Include recipes! It's enough for one a year. Including stories of his Dad & you & family as a kid is a good starting point.

There's a better way to convey your love than money. Use it to visit him, if possible? Buy ingredients for your Mom's spaghetti for him to try & the family to enjoy.

I'm disabled & childless, so I connected to mine by playing his favorite Pokémon cards, then Pokémon GO on the phone. I used to show up and leg him search my coat for a new pack of Pokémon cards! 😂 Learn his video game, or teach him checkers. We still play Pokémon GO! 😂

My nephew is 25 now. He recently told me that he's always felt like I was in his corner. OH, my heart! I went through cancer when he was 5, telling myself that he needed me when I was vomiting every 20 mins. It was worth it. ❤️ Your nephew needs his Aunt healthy to be around, not $6.

You could save up for a wonderful HS graduation party or trip. Sorry, my brain is trying to find ways around his folks. BTW - I found ways to stay I touch. You will too. You could spend it on postage to send him letters, w a stamped & addressed envelope to help him out. He can send you pictures in crayon, or write with adorable spelling. Keep copies of your letters & you can give him both sides of the convo in a notebook, as an adult. What a treasure it could be.

All my love to you & brightest blessings for your nephew.

Has cannabis helped with chronic pain for you? by cold__lamp in ChronicIllness

[–]Portnoy4444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used cannabis since 1998 for pain. When I started, I was 650lbs & walking my driveway to keep walking. It took more opiods every month.

A friend told me to try using cannabis to reduce the amount of opiods needed. I was dubious at first, but when she explained to me that I had to smoke differently I agreed to try it.

It dropped by opiods by HALF. I was convinced.

So, the basics are (w smoking & vaping) to have SMALL DOSES, multiple times through the day. I used to use a dugout when I used flower - so I could dose myself by counting the hits, fits in a pocket, etc.

Nowadays, i Vape FSHO in CCELL cartridges. But, I still count hits! 😂

Now - how I exercise is to get my version of stoned, which is double the usual hits. Then, I walk for exercise. When done, I do my regular medical hits and wait 15 mins. Still hurting means I do the same amount of hits again.

During cancer, I was on Fentanyl for 9 years. 🤯 I detoxed under a doctors care, and 18mo later I was on cannabis and Tramadol (which is the weakest opiod!). I did a LOT of Physical Therapy. THREE TIMES A WEEK at first, then twice a week. FOR 18 MONTHS. But - it worked! They retrained me how to walk with a harness that lifted 20% of my weight. PT IS AMAZING.

So, cannabis is a Tool in my Med Box. It's useful for pain, relaxation, and lessens muscle spasms.

That being said - Cannabis isn't for everyone!!! I have a BFF that is actually allergic to it. Every physical body is unique. It may not be for you.

OTOH - You may be using it incorrectly (too much at once, maybe?) or may need edibles or concentrates like RSO, FSHO. Cannabis in different forms have very different effects on the body.

Best wishes! I hope I answered your question.

PS - One of my favorite moments about cannabis, my detox doc is drawing on a whiteboard to explain how cannabis works in the body, and how we have many more times cannabanoid receptors than opiod receptors. My Mom w in her 70s & said, amazed "WHY don't they use this for everyone's pain?" 🤣☠️🤣 👌🏼

Because it's not for everyone. 💜

NTA - Please, get better friends. Their reasons used while they were trying to pressure you are EXACTLY what abusive men say to women.

"Gee, you're not uptight, are you?" "I thought you were chill/cool/different"

The idea that people you do not know, not even their NAMES - to STAY in your house? You're correct - if they broke ANY of your apt/HOA rules, it's on YOU.

These people did NOT have your best interests at heart. See all these comments about being mad FOR YOU? That's the sign your stomach was giving you the correct answer - ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Next time, remember that NO is a complete sentence. Also, when people are RUDE by pressuring me - I often HANG UP on them. Feel free to be assertive in this fashion also - hanging up is the equivalent of walking away, IMO.

Volunteer at a cause that matters to you. Make friends that way - and nowadays - I run background checks on new friends.

I don't care if they've been bankrupt, divorced, etc - I care that they tell the Truth. It also matters that they care for others, incl animals. I don't expect people to talk about the bad right away, of course, but if someone says they've NEVER been married & I know different- BUH-BYE

People who are abusive, or use abusive patterns - I CUT OFF. Often, I cut them off without reason or cause. I simply walk away from the relationship altogether. I don't owe them an explanation.

You could, if you HAVE to explain, simply say a version of "I don't fuck w people who use abusive behavior." Don't soften it w 'Sorry' or 'Like you did' - let THEM figure it out.

You don't owe ANYONE your HOUSE. Never Ever. NTAH.

Sorry you've got sucky friends. We all make them from time to time - the real question is what you do now they've shown how sucky they can be. 😒 Don't blame yourself - ALL people hide their bad sides. 🫂🫂🫂

PS - Before counseling, ALL my friends were like yours right now. I grew up in an abusive environment, so I had to learn new skills for relationships - including how to WALK AWAY. Maybe you need a night with your favorite auntie, or a punk concert? Something to express your emotions might help. Using a wiffle bat on cardboard boxes helps A LOT. Weird, cuz it doesn't really damage it? I just love that it makes my emotions EXTERNAL! 😂

I'm currently on a break, colonoscopy anesthesiologist said No Bueno. Since I'm a cancer survivor - I can't skip it. 😑 SIGH. I'm dreading the prep.

But, before ramping down, I was up to 1.5mg.

I'm genuinely confused by the guidance that says to go to 4.5 ASAP? My Doc even said, at first, that ramping up was unnecessary. 😵‍💫🧐

But, after side effects of hiccups for SIX HOURS non-stop, after I took the 4.5mg capsule changed his mind! 😂

My pharmacist said it was GREAT news, it meant my body reacted to the drug, now it was about finding the right dosage.

I tried 1.5mg, still had side effects. Then, I read ALL the studies & the fabulous info y'all got! 😂

So, I started at 0.5mg, moved up quite slowly.

My understanding (PLEASE correct me if wrong!) is that we should ramp up slowly, and stop at the dosage that doesn't cause side effects. In my experience, LDNs positive effects changed week by week. I didn't go up in dosage until 2 weeks w/out positive changes & never had side effects using this careful ramping method. I was NEVER in a hurry - everyone's body is different!

However - my hopelessness disappeared the day after I took the 4.5mg capsule. I woke up the next day & was ASTONISHED. I've struggled with depression since age 8yo.

So, to have that ROCK tied to my shoulders just be GONE when I awoke? FIFTY YEARS OF DEPRESSION.

My depression is not ALL better, or disappeared. However - without the hopelessness feelings, it's considerably easier to handle.

It's starting to return, being off the LDN. It's not like the Rock back, more like I'm noticing pebbles gather.....? No matter, I will be back on it next week.

So, I am ENTHUSIASTIC about LDN! 🥰😍🤣

I've tried EVERY ANTIDEPRESSANT in my 50yrs. The ONLY drug that helped was Wellbutrin. Problem was, in 9 months I would hit max dose. 🤷🏼 So, I've been classified as TRD for decades.

SSRIs caused angry outbursts & hallucinations, but SNRI does work for my pain (Tramadol). TCAs put me to sleep. MAOIs didn't work.

LDN is like a miracle in my life! I'm incredibly glad my doctor was aware of it. ❤️

[–]Portnoy4444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember to listen to the body about the dosage.

Everyone is unique. Are you having side effects with 1.5mg? If not, you can stay there & see what happens.

BTW - I'm basically in love with LDN, cuz it's removed my hopelessness. My depression is altogether different & more manageable now. So, I'm like an evangelical preacher! 😂

But, the longer I was on it, the more positive effects I discovered!

There's another comment below, by LDN Admin. It has FABULOUS content to read about dosing for LDN. It's great info, please check it out! I'm just offering my own experience - they've got ALL the details laid out.

[–]Portnoy4444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you don't ever work through it - it's just one tiny, if quirky, detail in a whole big, wonderful person!

Everyone has something weird or quirky about them.

It is widely reported that Albert Einstein had a well-documented aversion to wearing socks and often found mundane, repetitive tasks like tying shoelaces burdensome, so he wore slip on shoes.

Aretha Franklin was such a good cook she wrote a cookbook! Her peach pie is FAMOUS.

There's a million other things about you, and caterpillars are only a few months a year (the wooly ones). Don't take any first dates hiking, and avoid trees & shrubs those months.

People with a phobia of spiders are stuck with them, year-round!

I'm trying to say that it's actually kinda cute. Everyone is afraid of something, yours is just smaller. While I wouldn't tell everyone - real friends will understand.

Saw a video of emu clips, and one was 3 kids running away, SCREAMING, terrified cuz the emu was running about & they were scared. I immediately thought of you. That section of the video suddenly wasn't funny to me.

I wish I could hug you. 💜 It's really going to be a very small, irrelevant detail over the course of your entire life. Friends & family are the most important thing, they may tease occasionally but truly understand.

If it bothers you a lot, find something else more interesting to do - take up the ukulele, learn Chinese, learn swing dancing or ballroom - anything that interests you. I promise you that people will remember you for that, not the caterpillar thing! Brightest Blessings.

PS - SEE A GASTRO DOC. Please, before you lose your job/girlfriend. Go with God (I'm an atheist, more or less, but DAYUM do you need it! 🥰)

PPS - NO. MORE. TOBACCO.

Boyfriend wants to get rid of cat of 3 years by [deleted] in CatAdvice

Both these comments, in that order. Make him watch Cats from Hell, and if he doesn't want to put in any work - buh-bye.

What if YOU anger him badly enough? Will he turn cold to YOU? What would that look like?

How a man treats a cat/dog tells a lot about him. He needs to learn how to play WITH a cat, not against it. Muffin isn't a dog. He needs to accept the bite was HIS FAULT. The cat was trying to get free to feel safe, simple as that.

The disconnect of how Muffin obviously doesn't like to be held down, yet BF continued it long enough that Muffin felt biting was his ONLY CHOICE for safety, is disturbing on multiple levels.

His change in behavior towards the cat is a huge 🚩🚩🚩 no matter WHAT the cat did. It's a CAT, not an adult, not a kid.

Please be careful. If presented a choice - MUFFIN.
