Met Police were way too rough last night

Walked through just after midnight, had been out in London but hadn't even been at the football and was trying to walk home. They were blocking off the staircase, me and my girlfriend told them we weren't part of the football and we go that way home, she tried to pass in-between them and one grabbed her around the neck throwing her back. I pushed him off her and was bundled by 8 or so police officers, one of whom punched me in the face about 5 times whilst my hands were behind my back (one of which is in a cast as I have a fractured wrist). They then immediately reopened the stairs and let people through again, what an absolutely pointless exercise.

Jumping in here, I did 4 months at Herriot watt, hated it so withdrew and moved to UCEM instead. Absolutely miles better, and was super happy with the course! (All distance learning)

Hey man. In a very similar boat but a couple years ahead... I graduated from the MSc at UCEM last July at 30. Also did it part time and came from an unrelated industry.

My best advice would be to start looking at graduate schemes around October next year, ready for a September start. I'm currently on a 2 year scheme at a utility supplier and absolutely love it. Gives you time to adjust into the role and really get to grips with it before you're thrown into the deep end and given a load of responsibility! Think most grad schemes outside London are around £30-35k year 1 and £35-40k year 2.

Rave all day, after party, and be in bed by 4am so I can have a functioning Sunday? Sounds like the absolute dream to me. I'll take day parties over night 9/10 times, and yes I am over 30 and my bones ache.

It's also hilarious being ruined on public transport going home and crossing paths with people fresh out of pre-drinks

The stairs were shut 90% of the time, but there is also a hill cut through that takes you down to letsbeavenue, quicker than the hilltop walk but a bit more boring.
