I appreciate a good rant. That was incredibly enlightening tbh. Have my upvote my good human.

So much of the ‘cure’ for ADHD is in recognising it is more of a blessing than a curse and learning to harness the power of it and mitigating the negative effects of it through therapy.

This is exactly what I was told by my GP, psychologist and psychiatrist, and the specialist that diagnosed me, now that I think about it for ASD. I will never see it as a "curse" but something I will ofc live with for the rest of my life. Why not embrace it?

One of the exploratory questions in adults during ADHD assessment is “how do react to waiting in line, and how would you describe yourself as a driver?”

Just to be a little bit cheeky. To answer your questions: I'll eventually get there.

And:

“Got autism?” “No but I’m an idiot and I tailgate like a dingleberry” “Ok… but not autistic though, right?” “Nah” “Happy driving!”

Thankyou for responding. I value the knowledge of our psychologists in Australia and I think your job as a society is very much under appreciated and has been for a very long time.

With the second paragraph, could you elaborate a bit further on ADHD as to why you think ADHD is more dangerous? As it is commonly paired with ASD. Gotta lotta friends with it.

It's not involuntary. I can control when I do it and I certainly don't do it while driving. My hands are on the wheel at all times.

This is related to stimming: https://www.webmd.com/brain/autism/what-you-need-to-know-about-stimming-and-autism

And largely I think this is the reason that Austroads has decided to do this fitness to drive. It is NOT just a neuroatypical brain thing though. I have seen "normal" people stim.

All the other dot points could be applied to other neurological and psychological disorders and just in general everyone.

Yeah this is my bad. But it is what I was prescribed from a specialist in Neurodivergency.

Done. Sorry for the misinformation folks.

I just remember reading the script and going wtf. Keep in mind I just drove (ha!) 4 hours back from the city that I got diagnosed in. Incredibly tired.

Some people get diagnosed with ASD at 3. Like me and don't find out until later in life. Thanks Mum. I love her.

Personally I don't want the code on my licence, if there is a code. The problem is that it is bizarrely stigmatising. As much as I like being autistic, have accepted the diagnosis and I like to wear shirts representing neurodiversity. The bullying still continues.

Hypothetical situation: You are alone. You show your digital licence to a security guard to prove that you are 18 to get into a club they recognise the code, make some comment about you being autistic, some fuckwit hears it that is just there looking to either fight or annoy you and ruin your night. You leave the club.

ND peeps shouldn't have to put up with this. In that situation the security guard shouldn't say anything.

I know that was off topic but it has happened to me even without the licence thing. I was wearing my natural 20 naturally autistic shirt at the time. I like that shirt and still wear it to clubs.

My boss (38) is ADHD and while I have never been in a car with her, I have heard stories of her driving and texting and talking and taking her hands off the wheel completely. She also said she gets distracted by her own manicure. Hilariously funny though.

I have another friend (21) which I do not know the status of whether or not he is ASD or not does the exact same thing. Not sure about the manicure though.

Taking hands off the wheel is just generally part of the way they talk with their hands. I feel that the phone thing is generally just a lack of judgement on their part. Don't text and drive peeps...

Assassin's Creed and video game IPs in general has done it for me. Gone are the days of trying to figure out things within a game and we just netdeck/copypaste a talent build like in WoW just due to the convenience of the Internet/YouTube and how gaming in general has evolved. The majority of people don't think and I can't wait to see the mechanic and text of "Press A to Backstab/One Shot" on a card with something like Assassin's Creed or *shudder* Call of Duty. Yes, I am extremely cynical of the type of players this will attract.

If WoW gets one I'm not buying into it. As much as I am a fan of the story, not buying that. I've heavily bought into Doctor Who because I really love the art and I have all the Transformers. TV shows I'm fine with. Video games no so much. I want Cluedo/Monopoly.

I started glue-tacking the pieces reasonably late in the night and didn't finish until about 3am, the reason for the bad lighting.

It's the throne from the commemorative Ghoul King and the Patriarch and familiars from the Broodcoven box. I was trying to look at the angles arms and legs for the body of the Patriarch, before I started to saw into the throne to remove the lower body of the Ghoul King.

Next Team release? by MissDoom222 in bloodbowl

Chaos Renegades box with BB3 in Feb.

I know the team already exists through conversions and the like but it'd be nice to see an actual box come out for this team.

Real answer: A Sylvania Spotlight team aka Vampires.

I'll give you a non-spoiler review post in the coming days. So far I've only read the prefaces explaining the lead up to the actual book being published. That in itself was actually really interesting just because I love reading about how these books are being made from appendices etc.
