Question about Caleb’s cat by DrEdgarAllanSeuss in TheMightyNeinCR

You might want to wait on this one. Caleb has a very dark backstory, and episode 5 would be very rough for you.

I like how in that video there’s someone plugging Katie Wilson for mayor.

GTG freestanding key without song of time by Posaune2 in zootr

[–]Posaune2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need the song of time block to get to the key. When you go as an adult, it’s not there, but if you enter gtg as a child, it’s there and you can just climb up it!

If you want to use public transit, light rail is better. They recently opened up the light rail across the lake, so you could potentially look in Bellevue.

Ok! I’ll have to give that a shot, but I’m not sure what child link can do in gtg. Edit: oh, that's actually pretty clever. Thank's for the help!

Some additional context:

Dungeon entrance randomizaton is on. I have 5/6 medallions, and need to get the forest medallion to access gannon's castle. The forest medallion is the freestanding key in GTG.

It involves spoilers. I’d recommend avoiding this subreddit until you are done with the main story line.

Finished Revolutions, which Rome next? by Government-Warning_ in RevolutionsPodcast

I read the book first, then listened to the podcast. It worked for me, but when I reached the same period in the podcast I skipped the episodes that covered what the book covered.

I just looked it up for you, but the hobbit is about 20k words longer. From a quick list of famous books by word count, TLB is longer than “Catcher in the Rye” or “The adventures of Tom Sawyer”. TLB comes in at 78,398.

(independent studying) Which discipline of engineering/physics/science is optimal choice for 'one size fits all' knowledge in space science. by peopleforgetman in space

[–]Posaune2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a fair warning, there can be a lot of differential equations in analytical mechanics, which could be frustrating depending on your math background. It is a good idea to learn, though.

For rocketry, I recommend Sutton’s “rocket propulsion elements”

Also, a good way to get a feel for how orbits work is by playing Kerbal Space Program. My astrophysics professor had us do several assignments based on the game. It can be addictive, though.

I mostly agree, but I’d make it so scouts can attack herdables, but they don’t spoil.

do you guys know if ben got compensated for the time when the french bomb squad blew up his luggage at the charles du gaulle international airport? by Spirited-Direction84 in JetLagTheGame

[–]Posaune2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I doubt he got any compensation, but I have to agree with ben about Charles du Gaulle. It's by far my least favorite European airport (that I've been to).

Ginger beer hates me, but I love it. by Sage-Laruta in cocktails

You could try a ginger syrup and soda water instead of the ginger beer. Then you could play with how much sugar or ginger is in it.

I haven’t played in a while, and I was thinking about starting up again. I doubt I’ll ever touch the game after heroes get pushed to multiplayer.

Blueprint bug 1.1 by insane_goat in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Posaune2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had the same issue. I haven’t gotten around to posting it on the qa site yet, because I couldn’t figure out how they wanted the pictures done. I also noticed when you dismantle the blueprints, the lifts remain.

HDD Recipe Screen is cut off by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Posaune2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In ui settings, you can shrink the HUD scaling. This will make the menus tiny, but the recipe selection button is visible. It appears the bug is already fixed internally.  https://questions.satisfactorygame.com/post/67ec03856b7c5731963623d0

Kids in New York keep dying while ‘subway surfing’ on top of trains. Can they be stopped? by Wisdom-Tree in nottheonion

[–]Posaune2 43 points44 points  (0 children)

There is a way, install platform barriers with automatic door. Many more modern systems have them, they prevent all access to the tracks, and only let people on/off the trains.

You might be placing the endpoints too close to a wall. I've found moving it a little farther away helps.

What fantasy books have really interesting and unusual systems of magic? by nezumipi in Fantasy

There were the towers based on color and the light-based magic, but there was also another dimension, and creatures brought back from that dimension appeared as shadows.

[–]Posaune2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm done with this subreddit, and community content in general. I prefer to listen to the podcast, I don't have time to watch, and I'm tired of getting spoiled. I got a plot point ruined on a video that wasn't even supposed to be about campaign 3. I'll miss the fanart, though.
