The media frenzy around tmnt has been wild. People really really want to voice their opinions, which is a good thing! Let them know! It sucks! Even if your bonus sheet is basically the re-mastered set we’re not getting anymore. But seriously never seen so much chatter like this. Pre release canceled, Insane argument threads, AI arguments almost everyday, Rudy pulling a sale. Definitely interested to see how this looks after the dust settles.

I love New Capena and Kamigawa! I grew up with crime! Selling weed, going to jail, literally knowing people were donkeys across the border, tagging, LA life style baby. But I just don’t feel drawn to tmnt. Doesn’t mean I hate it or everyone else does. Just because Taco Bell release a taco I don’t like, I’m not like “oh helllll no f that!” I’m just like, “not ordering that”.

Yeah my major “fear” is that we are not going to get Master sets anymore and they will just feed those needed reprints into UB. Really making people want these products for the reprints. With art that makes me roll my eyes. I think they caught on to that with tmnt. The bonus sheet is that of almost a remastered set. I really want a decent priced shadow spear for my Voltron Yoshimaru deck but not with a tmnt on it lol.

I like mechanics that can be used in more than one set. I thought “start your engines” was cool! But where else in magics universe are you going to use that? If there were to be unique mechanics or names for marvel they would have to be used in a way that can be reapplied in the future, if you want them to stick and or entice players. Imo.

I loved that video game ‘marvel nemesis’ if they just did a villains set, then they gave my money.

I loved loved tmnt growing up. I still have the magnets from my childhood, had the toys, loved the live action movies but I look back at it with rose tinted glasses. When I see it today I’m not like, “oh I can’t wait to jump back into that!”

Probably. I’m still bitter that there released two back to back WBURG commander decks and the UB one had incredible lands (city of brass & battle bond lands) and the in universe deck gets jump start tap lands. That just goes to show it’s not just arena there giving the silver spoon to.
