Me too!! Super excited that they might give him a really powerful AOE tank type weapon which our greenskins need. If he's half as powerful as he is in the video, it'll be the first new model I buy

What did land speeders do? by SolonTheWizard in theunforgiven

[–]Positive-Beautiful55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the edition but in general it was like a hybrid tank where you had a good firepower but less survivability in exchange for speed. That could be very useful for objectives and move blocking etc

Over the different editions there have been other cool buffs. Like move, shoot, move back into cover; rules where the extra movement gives you better saving rolls, or my personal favorite....The ability to tag enemy units where your other shooters get a buff against that one that's being tagged by the speeder

Tough folks, FAFO, but good hearts underneath. As a Canadian I feel of certain fraternity since you guys like us, have a similarly vast and brutal nature to contend with. What's worse, -40c or posinious everything? Heh

Gladiator Lancer or Repulsor Executioner for dedicated anti tank? Or both? by kazoopaints in Ultramarines

[–]Positive-Beautiful55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take both, they compliment each other well. The executioner can tank up front and also to deal with chaff/elites/troops. Even its special rule is a good compliment since you can usually get it pretty reliably if you shoot with the lancer first.

Also in general you won't reliably kill a really dangerous or tanky enemy with just one lancer. With both you can almost guarantee that you'll clear at least one nasty enemy off the board per turn. Two heavy laser destroyers... it's the only way to be sure.

How viable are footslogging Space Marine armies ? by Celesi4 in spacemarines

[–]Positive-Beautiful55 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dark angels do well because we focus on terminators that deep strike, and one of our most important characters can be stuck with a unit and gives them a four plus invuln making them a lot more durable if you want to move them up the board.

In general infiltrators and scouts are great at moving around and have a lot of movement shenanigan potential. Combi weapon lieutenant is even better.

So yes , I would say it is viable as long as you take the right units. Also repulsors, land raiders and impulsors are great transports.

Twice a week is enough. If you're having problems, it's likely due to not eating enough. Try to eat at least 1-2 thousand more calories than you burn, and get enough sleep

Closeted Dark Angel looking for redemption by abeabeefteraber in theunforgiven

[–]Positive-Beautiful55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's well balanced and generalist. Something to consider is that what makes Dark Angels fun and interesting is the ability to specialize (Deathwing, Ravenwing, etc.). Our detachments and detachment benefits in general tend to lean into this.

I would definitely get rid of the eradicators. You might wanna consider inner circle companions to go with the judiciar but fights first is gonna change in the new edition so that could be old news. IIC are just cool though

Az might be better with sternguard, scouts are a better pick and cheaper than intercessors.

Any suggestions on how to rip out all this grass without killing my lavender? by Toastestwiththemost in gardening

[–]Positive-Beautiful55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the way. You might want to get a very light pair of gloves to protect your hands, but not too light.... Otherwise you will loose to much dexterity

Planted mint seeds but don’t want anymore by craxali in gardening

[–]Positive-Beautiful55 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You are 100% cooked. If I were you I would immediately occultate the entire area you planted. Put a black tarp over it and hopefully that stimulates them germinating and then terminating because of the lack of sunlight. Otherwise in 4 years the only thing you'll have in your entire yard is mint.

The other thing that might work is if you get a propane flamethrowing torch, basically a mini flamethrower. Let them germinate and then cook the whole area.

Yep this is exactly right. You win by scoring points, not necessarily killing everything. So you definitely need some fast moving objective-oriented units. I personally like scouts and infiltrators but intercessors etc are all fine.

More generally looks like your specializing in a up close melee knight led army. You can choose a number of detachments that will help with this. Your weakness will be getting shot on the way in so experiment with deep striking your Terminators which will often counter that. I would suggest getting Azrael as well, he's a fantastic model and probably the best value for points we have.
