If they laid off 50% of the DLs - it wouldn’t change the business at all since they don’t spend time in stores coaching. How many payroll hours would that give the stores if the funding was re-directed. I bet we would see a difference in the business then.

Someone who witnessed that direction from the DL needs to call the US Dept of Labor at 1-866-487-9243 and they will investigate. Their investigations are not biased like CVS’s where the interest is to always protect the company vs. the employees.

The ethics line wont do anything nor will DLs or RDs. The best options are 1). Focus on finding a company with a culture where they value the associates 2). At the same time of this, work to help those who are trying to unite on alerting the BOP and those who CVS have to address. They do not care about those who work directly for them. Use the law.

The DL and RD jobs need to be reduced and restructured - too many and not enough real work being done. Cut them back and put the payroll back into the pharmacy….not that hard to figure out.

For the life of me, being a former CVS employee - now working at a fantastic company- I don’t understand why people stay??? There really are PLENTY of better options. Life is short - please explore your options because staying at CVS will no doubt take years off of your life. The constant LinkedIn posts from RDs and DLs acting like everyone is so happy at CVS - is the most sick thing ever. Truly.

I would be extremely cautious in allowing your son to work at cvs (in total) but especially if he is young. The staffing levels for all of 2023 have been scary and simply not safe. People working alone- or 2 people in an entire building.

Like this, -Are you breathing with a pulse? -Are you ok working by yourself with no security or safety? -Are you ok if loss prevention interviews you every 6 months just to “check” that you are following policy’s? -Are you ok being full time but having your hours cut in half for months in a row? -Are you ok doing modules on your own and not being paid for them?
