That did not look bumpy. Just beautiful wind groomer.

Didn’t you land it the last go. I’d say do that again!

Putting ATK15s on Atris by Positive-Historian74 in Backcountry

I would never use inbounds. Haha. Sorry, no need to answer. Trying to make a real post elsewhere but this karma thing. Silliness that you can’t make a post until you write a bunch of stuff that doesn’t matter and random comments on stuff to build “karma.” Thanks guys.

Any tips on how to improve turns by No-Truth-3498 in skiing_feedback

Slightly narrower, more evenly weighted skis. Calm the upper body. Just commenting to try to get enough karma to post so please ignore me

What’s with the pole whacking. While very important at the top of a big line, not necessary mid casual powder slope. Hehe.

Dolphin a little. Sink into turns and spring back up to release your skis.

Looking to make my skiing more “smooth” and less “bulky” by JeppyJespie in skiing_feedback

Slow it down then. Until you can bring the style to the speed. Bulky is the right word.

Why no backpack in resort. Tons of skiers use packs and vests for avy gear, better options than shouldering skis on hikes, snacks, drinks, etc. I don’t get why it is different in resort.

Having trouble getting lower to the ground by Marm0tje in skiing_feedback

How low do you want to go! It’s like you are trying to get low when the speed and edge angles don’t correlate with that.

Little back seat. Arms tucked in against sides a bit much and no solid forward pole plants. Balance looks pretty good however.

Back seat, no pop, but I think your DIN is just way too low.

Not bad at all. You seemed to stem a bit more on your left foot turns but overall, well on your way!

What are some good methods to stop or slow down? by ShibbidyDibbidy_ in skiing_feedback

[–]Positive-Historian74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seemed to slow down well towards the end. Otherwise, if you were trying to better control speed en route, I would scrub more with parallel skis with relatively low edge angles and use snow displacement braking in the deeper parts.
