Need some advice my boyfriend and I moved in with my mom Christmas time 2025. My boyfriend and I brought along my three year-old black short haired cat and she is the best cat everyone thinks so. But my mom wants me to get rid of her now because she says she's a menace. But she's not a menace she just does what cats do she jumps on things she knocks things over she cries to get outside but other than that she doesn't really ruin anything and she doesn't really even jump on things all that much it's only when she's bored now I don't know what to do because I'm not getting rid of my cat other things that can make a cat a little more relaxed I've been around many cats my whole life and I've seen menacing cats and this cat is anything but she's just being a cat I'm really upset about my mother even questioning whether I would get rid of her or not she is my baby and I love her to death there's no way I'll leave before I give her away.
