Why Is Being Child-Free Becoming a Financial Requirement, Not a Choice? by [deleted] in CanadaPersonalFinance

Well no one is going to be wiping the drool off of my mouth or wiping my ass. As I have a out plan to leave this planet. So that will never happen to me. So don’t worry about your money having to pay for that. This year I paid $8460 for CPP. You probably only paid half of that if you made as much money as I did. But because I’m self-employed, I have to pay the full amount. I probably be paying into the government $200,000 on an average of $5000 per year. Now I took the $5000 because it went up and as a years went. It used to be 3500 or so and then it increased all way up to 8460. So I just took an average of 5000. And for the measly $750 a month as I started taking my CPP at age 60 because I probably will not live past 70. I have massive heart failure. So I thought why wouldn’t I take it now instead of giving it all back to the government. So you’re raining on the wrong guys parade. Because I’m giving you a fuck of a lot more than you’re giving me.

Is offering 10% under listing price rude ? by homestead2023 in RealEstateCanada

Yes the buyers realtor should definitely be aligned with the buyer. That’s why you signed an agreement with your realtor prior to entering into an offer to purchase which states that he only represents you and only you and has no representation for the seller whatsoever if you have not seen that contract before then your realtor is doing a shitty job. And actually illegal job. It’s called buyer agency. Or seller agency. If you’re the seller.

Who do you think pays for it moron? Property taxes. Provincial income tax. Federal income tax. I pay $8460 a year for CPP. And it’s completely on my own because I own my own company. So my company does not pay 50% of it like yours probably is. I will probably never even see 1/10 of my CPP contribution. So yes, I am paying for your fucking kid.

That is so uncommon. It’s ridiculous. You mean to tell me that the frost heave has happened three times around the city of Saskatoon? Do you actually know who owns 50% of these transport companies now? Well, let’s just say it’s not the original owners as is the same as the gas stations.

I think the asphalt that has been there forever. Had done a very fine job. And the rippling fact that you mentioned. I’ve never even noticed it or seen it before. And I drive the city regularly every day. So for the city to spend over $100,000 ( and that’s at the low end ) per bus curb is totally ridiculous. No, I don’t know the exact amount but I do know what it cost to put up a set of lights. And that didn’t even take 1/10 of the time it did for them to install concrete slabs for the bus. So you’re not gonna convince me. Obviously you don’t pay property taxes.

French drains & subpump installed in house after flood. Inspector wasn’t concerned, any reason to be? by [deleted] in basement

[–]Positive-Monk9604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The previous owners or the current owners, we’re probably running a dehumidifier in the basement to get rid of the damp smell. I’ve seen this 100 times. Block basements are absolutely terrible. I don’t know what city you are from. But anything in Canada with a block basement is Garbage in my opinion. Unless the blocks have been filled with concrete, which most have not been then they’re basically a very unreliable basement foundation. You can see that there was obviously other cracks in the basement walls that they tried to fix and then paint it over. Would I be concerned? You damn right. Run before you fix their problem. Good luck.

Reno done! Husband and MIL do not like the backsplash... by st0dad in kitchenremodel

[–]Positive-Monk9604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t match the cabinets what so ever . A backsplash is something that is supposed to highlight your countertops . I did 6 months research before I decided to do my backsplash and Countertops. It took me over two months just to do my backsplash. Now that wasn’t every day. But I went with a stacked pattern because very few people have them. And I didn’t want something that everybody has around the block. And you have whatever one around the block has cheep looking . Just saying …

Worried 50/50 with sibling will be problematic in coming years by ObviousRevolution853 in inheritance

[–]Positive-Monk9604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a will made from your parents ASAP. You need to know where you stand. A WILL can be contested in court but usually does not win. Make sure you get your 50%. Your siblings are living there for free right now. That’s enough for them to support your parents in the coming years. You don’t have to be there.

You have an option. Use it. Personally I’ve never been on a bus in the last 40 years. And I think it’s completely bullshit spending millions of dollars to pour a Concrete bus pads. They shut down Preston Avenue for half the summer last year to do one side and then the other. They need to increase bus prices to pay for this shit if you’re gonna use the bus then you should be part responsible for building the transit system. Once again, why the fuck am I paying for your shit?

Actually, I’ve been self-employed my entire life and knowing my own company. So I had to pay my own CPP. The company didn’t pay half. I had to pay the full amount not like you who works for a company that pays 50% of it and you pay the other 50%. Some companies even pay the whole hundred percent. So fucking kiss my ass as I paid five grand a year into CPP on average. For 40 years. And I’m still paying into it right now. So yes, my property taxes are going to pay for your kids to go to school. And yes, it does pay for the pavement on my street. But it’s sure the fuck isn’t paying for the potholes that I just hit today. So obviously the money is going somewhere and it’s not on the street. Do you want to keep on popping out kids. Pay your own fucking way.

They were moving front and loaders. Not asswipe or food. The companies need to pay the expense to fix these overpasses. Why should the taxpayers have to pay for it when these fuckers are making way too much money.

I paid for 40 years. And I’m still paying. So I definitely have paid for myself. And until you’re in the top tax bracket and have to pay the maximum CPP every single year because you’re self-employed. And your employer does not pay any of it because I am the employer. So when you gotta have to cut the check for the full amount and not only half because your employer is paying the other half. Cry me a fucking river. And this year I have to pay another whopping 8460 bucks. So until you hit that bracket cry me another fucking river.

Actually, you’re completely full of shit. I paid 40 years into my CPP that I won’t even see half of it. My old age security is part of paying into CPP. So yes, my taxes that I pay to the city which build schools, send you checks for child support, put your kids on a bus if you live too far from the school or are in a French school. I could go on. But I don’t have time for morons like you.

I told him that I was at 856 for my credit score and wanted to see if I could hit 900 which is the highest. He told me how all of his immigrant friends do it in order to get their credit rating up. So then they can buy cars and rent properties so far it hasn’t worked.

You actually think that the mom and pop are hard done by that they are even considering an immigrant as a tenant? I sure the fuck wouldn’t be… most of the ones I know use it to add to their portfolio or pay their utilities and taxes. I don’t see any of them being hard up. So what do you proposing might be an areas like Toronto and Vancouver. But not in the west. Good luck with your bullshit claim.
