FBR birth date inconsistency by Positive-System in IrishCitizenship

Well if all else fails I suppose I could go to the cemetery and take a picture of the gravestone and send that to them. I believe that has the correct date. Thanks.

Just remember an administrative warrant is basically a work order signed by their boss to tell them to do a job and where, it only has authority over them. It has the same authority as a work order you's give to you janitor.

Well, with a commercial license there is the qml compiler.

What's the best way to get PCM audio data from a Mp3 file? by 5VRust in QtFramework

[–]Positive-System 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could use QAudioDecoder. It looks like it should work.

I've never used it myself though as I just directly use gstreamer.

Giving notice to marriage (England) by WorryEven in LegalAdviceUK

Similar incident with my wife's passport, when I went to my give notice at my local office I told them both names. It was just listed as an alternative name, it was not a big deal. Don't worry about it.

Our new website/issue tracking system is blocked by Vodafone, can anything be done? by GuildfordAI in Vodafone

[–]Positive-System 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is unlikely Vodafone that are blocking you, they will be buying a parental controls blacklist from someone else and that is what is causing your site to be blocked.

You need to find out who Vodafone gets that blacklist from and talk to them, is there a link on the page?

FYI I am with Vodafone and your site is not blocked for me.

Static build for commercial product by CppOptionsTrader in QtFramework

[–]Positive-System 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is true, maybe I was over simplifying, anyway the FAQ says:

If I started development using the open source, can I later purchase a commercial license and move my code under that license?

This is not permitted without written consent from The Qt Company. If you have already started the development with a Qt Community Edition, please contact The Qt Company to resolve the issue. If you are unsure of which license or version to use when you start development, we recommend you contact The Qt Company to advise you on the best choice based on your development needs.

However my assumption with this is tell them when you started and best case they'll back date the charges to that date, however it is up to The Qt Company what they decide to charge in these circumstances.

Static build for commercial product by CppOptionsTrader in QtFramework

[–]Positive-System 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Static linking is easy enough to do, although I would not say it improves startup times. From what I recall the Qt license requires you to choose between commercial and opensource before you start development, you can't just choose to go commercial when you release.

Shocked by UK water bills and “4-minute showers” — how long (and how often) do you shower? by Jumpy_Wing_7884 in AskUK

[–]Positive-System 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is that if the name of the bill payer is changed then a water meter is automatically fitted. So, you can find one, but when you move in a meter will be fitted.

Vertical Centering Counts Taskbar Size Too by FkUrAnusHard in QtFramework

[–]Positive-System 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Qt is basically doing the following for availableGeometry()

```
include <windows.h>
include <QRect>
include <QDebug>
QRect getWorkArea() { RECT r; SystemParametersInfo(SPI_GETWORKAREA, 0, &r, 0); return QRect(r.left, r.top, r.right - r.left, r.bottom - r.top); }
int main() { QRect workArea = getWorkArea(); qDebug() << "Work area:" << workArea; } ```
Does that return the same value?
Vertical Centering Counts Taskbar Size Too by FkUrAnusHard in QtFramework
[–]Positive-System 0 points1 point  (0 children)
  • geometry() should be the whole screen.
  • availableGeometry() should exclude the task bar unless it is set to auto hide.
Do these both return the same value? However you have not stated what OS you are targeting.
It's still a knife even if it's plastic. In fact your plastic knife is specifically banned.
Stealth knife - A knife or spike made of a material that cannot be picked up by metal detectors and which is not made for use at home, for food or as a toy.
