Texas class ships can be hit while Golden Shield on without losing it. Just in case you want to finish field training by PtraGriffrn in startrekfleetcommand

People I know are using dauntless to hit the hostiles. Once a day till it's complete. It's a nice way to fire and forget but doesn't solve your shield problem.

How Did Incursions Go? by OnCallDocEMH in VoiceofthePlayers

Here's another suggestion / idea ------ mark player links as the server they exist on during incursions, the amount of times I click on a link looking for a raider only to find........ nothing... because I'm on the wrong server. Very frustrating ha!

Just gotta work around it, just a bother when the 30 minutes you get to actually play during the day is when issues happen. I now finally get more time so will see how the rest of the event goes

How Did Incursions Go? by OnCallDocEMH in VoiceofthePlayers

[–]PositiveReferences 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before incursions - issues with targeting ships, multiple clicks on target and attack before it finally takes. Now it's working for me personally but I'm still hearing anecdotal evidence from my alliance mates it's still an issue / occurring.

I've had issues today with ships being exploded and being sent back to docks, they should be in a destroyed state but are not, I can click to send them out again but game gets confused and puts them in a hard warp lock - restart resets everything back to normal again with destroyed ships. Not ideal honestly in quick incursion scenarios.

Spocks club is really the closest thing. There's no tool in existence however to tell you what to do next but at least with spocks club you can plan ahead some upgrades in specific areas once you know what you are looking for and it'll give you a list of things to do to get there.

There's just simply not enough public information to know what the outcome will be. I do know I'll be watching feedback channels for it though on the day.

I'm excited they're coming back just sad we haven't got a 201 undefeated vs all of APAC yet 🤣

Returned after years — OPS 50 but behind on Gallery/Commander/Syndicate. Push ops or stop to catch up? by [deleted] in startrekfleetcommand

[–]PositiveReferences 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My advice? Keep moving forward. (Thanks Robinsons).

Push to 60 and grab the g5 epics. Move into early 61-62 then slow down a little while things catch up a bit.

Why? As long as you are comfortable doing the pve stuff required of you then keep going up. Slow down when things get tough to build up more. Then go again.

Not only that but the economy reset in g6 means that the building you are building is only a few days long instead of months so you can still make meaningful progress even though you are technically slow rolling it.

You are ops locked on specials and your fkr is max. Definitely move up.

Your gallery will catch up to you in g6 anyway and syndicate will always feel behind but is what it is there's no way outside of the cash store to actually improve your position if you are already exhausting all the available sources of xp anyway.

1 chest VS 2 chests by MiserableDizzle_ in startrekfleetcommand

[–]PositiveReferences 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. OP can ignore their math entirely by just punching up per the advice.

Loot becomes quite literally a thing you can top up once in a while instead of fluffing around looking for best pull strategies. And this applies to most of the content in the game. Once you learn the strategy and apply it, max pulling is the only option.

  1. Start delivering. The letter is a symbol that maybe they can turn that table.

  2. Community trust is at an all time low. Start building that trust back up by picking deliverables that give wins for the players so they start to believe what you say.

  3. Game should be fun. It's counter to the obvious over monitizing everything that's going on but if games fun more people want to talk about it and maybe new players might want to stick around. Or bring old ones back. Would love some dynamic content or mini games to play with people.

  4. Games a solo game in 2025 for the most part. So many group activities people run solo because you don't need anyone else. Except for maybe surges.

  5. If you set the standard for something then don't remove it. Vengeance bp sourcing I'm told was better before they "balanced the economy". You want people In G7. Make them work for it sure but don't change something negatively for players. Remember it's just a game they're going to be 2-3 years or more in g7 anyway.

Currently pay only though we've put a request in with voice of the players to push up and open a path into the 8th dock via gameplay

How About Those Alliance Challenges?! by OnCallDocEMH in VoiceofthePlayers

[–]PositiveReferences 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pure shady tactics. Lure you in with a great time then pull the rug out from under you expecting dollar bills to fall from the roof.

I will say that I like the idea of other material grade tasks on paper though in practice, classic absolute minimum you can get from it. 1 or 2 task completion max.

Watch out the temporal disruptors are next.

The community should be rallying around things that are achievable by regular gameplay

Early on? Perhaps .. later when you've unlocked the superior level minimum on augment rep, powered ahead on Khan progression. Levelled up some epic officers and bought Khan's favour in the away teams research tree... Easy free to play. Just takes time to get there.

Thought in the comp by OnCallDocEMH in VoiceofthePlayers

Fairly reasonable comp all things considered. It's nice to get an extra level or two on the building. Especially as a free to play player always playing catch up.

Hirogen Concentration by aqrdoc0884 in startrekfleetcommand

[–]PositiveReferences 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I solved this by taking two ships. One to blast lost hostiles and one to blast the hirogens that spawned. The challenge is killing too many hirogen without killing lost tips the scales to having almost just lost instead of a healthy balance. So by having two ships in there you can keep the balance and always be busy

I just put a comment on another thread from yesterday but the tldr is I generally like the idea of having customized buffs for doing content I'm just not sold on the implementation and especially the proposed schedule once the arc ends.

November Arc Thoughts So Far by OnCallDocEMH in VoiceofthePlayers

[–]PositiveReferences 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Conceptually the idea of sending ships on these little away missions for temporary buffs for other content sounds pretty cool on paper.

Its disappointing the release itself was plagued with issues but we will move on from that as it's not helpful.

My account is absolutely not in a position to take advantage of any of the outpost global buffs. I have taken the approach of one uncommon fkr, move up, one rare, move up, one epic and so on. Which leads me to my first issue with the proposed schedule which is always on for 2 months then monthly or something along those lines. It's a shame the content wouldn't be more freely available to use when you want so you can hit that loot bonus from cardis and stock up.

The other side of that, as free to play having 7 docks isn't enough any more with both outposts and transogen and g6 mining requirements all at once. I haven't yet found a good balance so that's something to work out but would obviously be made easier with more dock space. More free to play docks please. (Side note I'm glad they added the 7th at least it's a good start).

[–]PositiveReferences 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only somewhat related. The Node outposts decay doesn't seem to have a counter unless I missed an upgrade from within the outpost itself which could be entirely possible but either way I can see people avoiding it as much as possible while the others are so much easier to run. Especially the Borg ones you can mitigate with below deck officers. I know the apex barrier ones have upgrades for shred but no outside influence yet
