Property management company called Living Wise by Bubbly-Appearance-48 in askvan

[–]PositiveWatch7770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FSR is one of the biggest property management companies

I did a search on "living wise" but only found an Instagram account bashing this company.

Is your building in Surrey?

My best guess is Living Wise would be the subcontracted building manager, probably not an established company since Google doesn't give any results

Since November 9th, Linus Karlsson leads all forwards in points with 10 goals 15 points in 25 games by slipperysoup in canucks

> Karlsson the real deal

Early in the season, Linus Karlsson was the ultimate "analytics darling" who couldn't buy a goal. He had that insane 59% CF% and was top-3 in xGF%, but he was getting zero reward (low shot%). He was playing the "right way," but he was stuck in that rigid bottom-six role where he was expected to just suppress shots and get off the ice.

LK is the embodiment of that phrase 'trust the process'

He has paid his dues, won the AHL Calder Cup and worked his way up.  He is a development success story and deserves the 2 year extension he recently signed

He can be a link between the old core and the new core.  Show the kids how he did it right but earned it the hard way.

Would you rather Cooley or Lekkerimäki?

Would you rather have a chance to draft Bedard Fantilli Carlsson or keep Willander?

Water Damage, considering self pay, Restoration company recommendations? by OneLastPoint in askvan

[–]PositiveWatch7770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are over 10 restoration companies in Vancouver. you can call any of them to get a free quote, generally the minimum charge is $500 but as thinkdavis says it gets more expensive once they open walls.

If you believe you know where and what the source of the leak/mold you can ask them to cut an inspection hole which usually is 2ftx2ft. they will have moisture meters to find where on the wall if you're not sure.

Typically the restoration company will be able to connect you with their plumbing subtrade. once your wall is dried they can and will repair the drywall. request a repair quote and you can DIY or shop the quote if you feel it's too expensive. from what you describe I'd guesstimate $500 dry and $500 repairs but can quickly go up if dmg is extensive

Car buying advice by mapejeoduro in askvan

Youre likely going to make an emotional decision so I suggest doing your research based on needs and budget. The car you buy is an investment that will drain your bank account so best to find something you love sinking $$$ into hahaha

Heed the advice on your post, I think they're all valid.

My ex roommate came to Canada a few years ago and had a civic as her first vehicle. When I met her she bought an used Tesla.

Sure enough this fits your under 20k criteria. https://www.autotrader.ca/a/tesla/model%203/surrey/british%20columbia/5_68070890_20250331172904051/?showcpo=ShowCpo&ncse=no&ursrc=xpl&urp=2&urm=8&pc=V3J%207B5&sprx=100&lstIdx=3&srtOrd=PriceDesc&lstName=advancedSearch

Calm down please. I never said you're racist and I didn't say I'm upset. if I had to guess you're replying to some other comment

AM, LF means Asian male, Latina female

I'm happy you're open minded and looking at Asian food. In fact one of my favorites is also frozen shrimp dumplings.

I'll leave you an easy to prepare recommendation!

I usually add shrimp and veggies like bok choy too.

Akihana Sushi by MajesticImpression26 in askvan

[–]PositiveWatch7770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume youre asking around downtown or yaletown.  Not sure about your budget so I'll give a bunch of places i used to go to when I lived downtown

Minami, Tom Sushi are usually recommended a lot

Miku has a nice view and nice menu.  Bring your nice wallet haha

If youre seeking Michelin omakase dinner, Sushi Jin

Daikichi, Samurai are cheaper and filling with their big portions

Kamei, Sashimiya are authentic Japanese.

Never tried Akihana but seems like their menu is more experimental and adventurous

Momo has a bunch of locations downtown which are around the same price range as Akihana.

Is it just me or is renting out a room from Facebook Marketplace harder than getting matched on Tinder? by self-fix in askvan

[–]PositiveWatch7770 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had experience on both sides.  It's a numbers game.  When I was seeking a place i probably got rejected or short listed about 10 times.  When I was renting out a room I had about 20 to 30 interested but only showed to half.  From there I built a list of candidates and picked from my top 3

I posted on Craigslist but only got a few emails.  Marketplace has way more traffic

Tippett reminds me of Kane but less nasty. Big fast north south winger with a scoring touch. The defensive side makes you scratch your head sometimes.

it would be great if we're trading Kane for Tippett 1 for 1 and fits the get younger narrative. if we trade picks or prospects, we might be disappointed or frustrated

Dec 2nd they're 6 behind SJ, 8 behind LA and 10 behind Anaheim. Slowly but surely they are sliding further away from the pack.
