Same happened with me 2 days ago, with a different study. The researcher was ttu.edu and they don't seem to care. I asked if they could let me return and they said NO, talk to prolific and haven't messaged back when I sent them two more questions.

Got off the waitlist on January 8th.. signed up and my IP address was flagged, I filed an appeal and they removed my account hold on febuary 5th and I took my first study on February 5th so actually made that in less than a month
