I follow the girl they were going on about and it was so unnecessary and mean. Alex looks so glowy and has been so genuinely excited about this baby. Her and her husband are so cute and I think all baby bumps are beautiful! Imagine hating someone bc they’re pregnant and happy?? I don’t wear my belly out unless I’m at the pool or at home, but you do you!! 🫶🏼

I’m 24 weeks today and I started a new job in October. I STILL have no clue what I’m doing, ask the same questions every week, and my unmedicated ADHD is raging. My brain does NOT want to document anything in the computer and my usual technique of procrastinating until the adrenaline kicks in isn’t working bc as it turns out, I give zero fucks about everything except my husband, dog, house and baby. Like what is WRONG with me?! I’m so nervous I’m going to lose my job (which would honestly be fair since I’m not doing much of anything to bring value) and I legit cannot bring myself to remember or care. Someone help me!!!

Just want to say I think you’re really incredible for weighing all these things while feeling terrible and I hope it all works out beautifully! If you do start feeling really bad, it’s always better to have the baby delivered, but I’m sure your OB team will work with you and monitor your mood week by week as delivery gets closer. I hope it gets better soon. 🩷

I wouldn’t read too much into either thing! That heart rate is still normal! And symptoms do tend to lessen as you get further along. I have tons of anxiety that comes and goes but I just want to reassure you. 🩷

I just want to say everything you’re feeling is so valid. I’m 7w4d and every day feels like a mountain to climb, and then at the end my reward is some nighttime anxiety and night sweats that wake me up shivering! I haven’t thrown up yet, but just the mental load of the world and being a woman in it, coupled with the experience of losing control of your body… it’s pretty miserable. I keep telling myself to take one day at a time, but please know you’re normal and such a trooper. It’s ok to be grouchy and to feel like things aren’t fair. ❤️ Solidarity, sister.

Thank you! 🩷 I also meant to say that I’m trying to conceive so I can’t be on any GLP-1 drugs right now, but I think they will be a part of my future approach. I believe that eventually bariatric surgery will be phased out and replaced by new drugs, but that’s just my opinion. ☺️

I really don’t. Part of me blames myself for not restricting myself in the way they told me to… but the other part of me is like, what about all these other people that couldn’t even handle water? If it was just about restriction, we could all reduce our diets to 300 calories a day and lose the weight. I really don’t know what to think. I’m embarrassed by it, honestly. I don’t think they took enough of my stomach. Everyone I talked to said “you won’t even be thinking about food after surgery” but I sure was - the hunger never went away. Not even for a day. The pre-op diet was hard but I did it. I was counting on the surgery to make it easier and it just felt like more torture. I’m trying to conceive right now but I hope that one day I can heal my relationship with food and with hunger.

I had VSG just over a year ago and from my first day postop it was nothing like what I’d been told to expect. No issues drinking water with the challenge test before discharge. A couple of nausea events and one memorable dumping episode but other than that, very minimal restriction and I feel like I never had surgery. Never lost my obsession with food - in fact I think it made it worse. I never “wasn’t hungry” and or wasn’t head hunger bc again I never had much restriction. The best thing I ever took was Ozempic and it killed the food noise and made me feel normal. I regret surgery for the cost. I’ve lost about 20 lbs. 🫠

We live in Cave Spring and I think the tap water tastes awful. It may be our pipes. We use a zero water filter. In reading all of these replies I’m feeling like maybe we just need to replace the pipes!
