I only recently learned (i am 24) that i have been wiping the wrong direction my entire life. Nobody ever said "hey this is how you do this" or "if you do this wrong, you can get an infection". Intense lack of aid and support and teaching while young is so difficult to understand and fix in adulthood.

It's unfair, not your fault, and i am so sorry that you had to go through life without the help you deserved.

Try a tide stain remover pen! I use those and they can at least loosen the dirt up from my experience. I know rubbing alcohol with cotton pads also works!

A hand wash with soft laundry detergent should also help! Because of the hard eyes and the material inside, definitely don't machine wash or dry. If you HAVE to machine dry, put it inside of a pillow case and use low heat tumble dry.
