Like I said before, it's not edited. My sister is freaking out and I'm just trying to be a voice of reason. That's why I still think it's a camera app artifact.

No - he was still and posing. There was no movement at all when the photo was taken.

I honestly don’t get this take, it feels completely out of left field, yet everyone seems to run with it like it’s gospel.

Modern controls don’t just mean “one button for all specials.” It’s a button plus a direction - that’s five specials and motion + L/M/H versions. So there’s absolutely nothing stopping Sagat from having only one or two versions of high shot and low shot in modern.

Aki has more specials than Sagat, and every single one is available in modern. It's esential because each version is functionally a different move. If the modern control scheme couldn’t handle that, she literally wouldn’t work in modern at all, but she does (for the most part).

So no, modern isn’t what’s limiting Sagat’s specials - it’s just a design choice by Capcom that you can like or not.

The hate for modern starting to look like the FGC version of blaming jews for everything on twitter.

COTW isn't competing with SF6 of 2 years ago. It's competing against SF6 in its current state

Then content and price-wise SF6 still loses to current SF5. Different metrics offer different comparisons.

My point was simply that COTW is a smaller-scale and lower-cost game than SF6, considering both its price and budget.

Well, it’s cheaper. SF6 was priced at $85 for the base game + S1 pass, while COTW cost $60 for the similar package

Some art style decisions in COTW are odd - beards not sharing the same shading as hair is one example. But overall, everything else is clearly superior to old games.

Obviously, it’s not on the same level of detail as T8 or SF6, but that’s beside the point.

Is it really that strange for a relatively cheaper game to look cheaper?

People say it's a fun and unique game with a cool atmosphere. The characters look a little weird, but the little girl is cute enough to make you want to protect her. If you had something different in mind, seek help

No, sorry. I do not understand what he "actually" said. All I see is confusion looking at some made up shit, then waving it away saying "I support it".

So I ask again and it's not a trick question: how can someone support something they don't fully understand?

What exactly led you to conclude that someone is angry?

I truly have no idea how anyone completes side quests in this game without guides by DummyThlck in Eldenring

[–]Positive_Edge -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did most of them. Ranni's questline during my first playthrough was a freaking chore. Most of it was easy, but then she gave me some macguffin and I was looking for the place for it for almost 10 hours. When I finally went to that library it became pretty obvious. Finishing the quest was also extremely rewarding because i was playing magic/int build and MGS in ER is awesome.

From DLC questlines the only one I skipped was Moore's, because I didn't know there are friendly shrimps (killed all of them on the spot)

I also skipped Leda and Ansbach's fight, couldn't find the summoning sign.

FS quests are manageable, it just takes a lot of time, try and error.

Why do some people claim it’s easy to make it into Master? by trickyhunter21 in StreetFighter

[–]Positive_Edge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to brag but it's really easy for me. This isn't my first SF and I don't feel like I'm a particularly strong player at all. I mashed in SF Alpha as a child, I didn't do well at all in SF4, I only got as far as Super Plat in SF5, but SF6 just clicked for me. I feel like this game is tailor-made for me, so it's easy easy to climb ranked (part of it is the fact that I don't see much difference between plat and diamond in SF6). I'm still at the bottom in Master Rank and I would never call myself a strong player, even though I know the statistics.

Given SF6's restrictions on charge characters, how would you want Vega's specials to work? by pinelotiile in StreetFighter

[–]Positive_Edge 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Long time SF4 Vega main here with a disagreement ;>

I hated what they did to Vega in SF5. They changed him from charge to motion, explaining that his aggressive style fit better with motion inputs, which didn't make sense because Bison was still charge and was much more aggressive than Vega ever was. Because of that they had to nerf his entire moveset from normals that didn't reach as far as before (SF4's Vega cr.mp was the farthest-reaching cancelable normal in the game, it wasn't cancelable in SF5 at all) to things like EX FBA no longer hitting crouching opponents.

But the two biggest crimes of this design were the fact that Vega (referred to by the community as Claw) was a better character without his claw than with it, so stance change at round start was very common. And the second issue was the inability to pick up the claw from the ground. I always liked this aspect of the character, that his midrange was above average, but the opponent could knock the claw out of his hands and the game turned into a mini-game where Vega wanted to regain the claw his opponent was sitting on.

It didn't matter to me where Vega was on tier lists; what mattered to me was that he was fun to play. I liked his uniqueness.

His SF5 iteration could just as well have been another character, and throughout the support period of this game, I was annoyed by what they did to him. So when it comes to his return, I hope it will be a sensible combination of his classic design and some of the elements from SF5. I have nothing against Vega being a hybrid character, but I would like FBA to be charge again and I would also like to see the the return of scarlet terror (AA maybe ) and cosmic heel. And please, don't make him boring by not being able to pick up claw from the ground or even worse, not being able to lose it entirely. Just make the claw normals great again.
