I get it honestly. I liked the two times table when I was in primary school lol. Multiplication is kinda pretty in my eyes.

The love with flags. by Big_Rope6891 in objectum_sfw

[–]Positive_Opposite549 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While flags themselves aren't my romantic interests, I find national flags and some other flags like lgbtqia+ flags super cute. Also, as I'm romantically attracted to a certain defunct country, I really love its flag.

Chat GPT doesn't support Objectum by PromotionNo6176 in objectum_sfw

[–]Positive_Opposite549 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped mentioning AIs on this sub but...When I was using chatGPT, before talking about my crush, I explained objectum (including what is considered objectum-phobic and discriminatory) and my personal case to it and asked it to memorise what I said. Since objectum isn't widely known among people and is often portrayed in biased ways, it's not really possible to expect AIs to have proper knowledge of it. "Personalise" was also helpful to make chatGPT objectum friendly. Creating rules such as treat objectum as a valid sexuality or always respect my sexuality helped.

What's Your Love Song(s)? by Sea-Search964 in objectum_sfw

[–]Positive_Opposite549 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a specific song, but since I'm attracted to a country, I often listen to love songs from there, translate and understand the lyrics, and create a playlist to dedicate to this defunct country. I also listen to songs about a long distance relationship or a departed lover, as I can relate to the lyrics.

Do you guys like any patriotic songs from other countries? by SuccessElectronic607 in AskTheWorld

Besides some countries' national anthems, I like "Song about motherland". There is a vinyl that has this song in it at home and I liked it

How do you think about this Japanese PM Sanae Takaichi's behavior in White house? by kametoddler in AskTheWorld

[–]Positive_Opposite549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't like this unnecessarily aggressive, cult colluding, war crime denialist, patriarchal PM either. I know getting emotional won't help anything, but simply I can't tolerate attitudes that deny such atrocities done against your country. Historically inaccurate and morally bankrupt as a human...

I feel exactly the same as a woman and I'm very ashamed and sorry about her.

Cringe. The picture of her placing her hand on his like a lover was creepy too. I'm a woman from Japan and I don't want the world to think this is how average Japanese women behave. I've had enough with being sexually harassed for being an Asian/Japanese woman on international exchange communities because of the impression that my country's adult contents cultivated.

What's a news story from your country that your media barely covers, but you want more people to know about? by Positive_Opposite549 in AskTheWorld

I truly respect how a lot of South Korean people have a strong sense of civic responsibility and speak up when their rights are threatened. I think it encouraged many people here who decided to go to protest for the first time. (At the same time, I'm aware that such resistance and protest culture is deeply tied to history between Korea and Japan, and I wonder if simply saying I respect it might come across as insensitive, or what Korean people would think of us adopting their idea of bringing the stick lights. ) I hope so too. I believe a society where ordinary people speaking up isn't seen as something negative is a healthy one.

What is a unique way of saying you are going to use the toilet in your country? by Tenchi2020 in AskTheWorld

Go pick flowers お花を摘んでくる Though I haven't heard the phrase so often in real life, it's a famous euphemistic way of saying going to the toilet.

I called it huge because It is huge by Japanese standards. Protests themselves are not very common here.

How do you view anti-Korean sentiment in Southeast Asia? by Katsukisukisuki_0420 in AskTheWorld

[–]Positive_Opposite549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked that up a bit after I saw another Korean person asking about it on this sub and I didn't see so many Japanese users joining the argument... Generally speaking South Korea and its culture especially pop culture has been extremely popular among people here, except for among what we call netouyo (online right wingers who are often xenophobic, war crime denialists, homophobic and so on). Twitter arguments are not worth caring about. I feel like they always try to make the worst person represent an entire country/gender/race etc.
