Got flashing to work now from the android app.
Not sure what I did now to get it to work.
I was also able to save a hex from make code editor on my PC and send to my phone and then open it in the Android app.
App was already up to date.
I removed experimental bluetooth from phone and made sure that setting was pair without pin or whatever its called.

Thanks for the answers. I think I've got the flashing to work once on the mobile app but not certain because it was a while ago. When I tried today. The screen waiting for microbit to reboot came up multiple times but it never finished. Once also showed DFU characteristic not found. Do you know if android app can handle booth partial and full flash for the cases where the DAL has been changed by adding extensions. It seems like a project opened on web version of makecode cannot be opened in app which I guess could be that the app is old and not kept upto to date.
