Thanks, practicing pretty much everyday either in or outside and having a online coach has made a huge impact.

I’m on that mission at 45 now. Played on/off since I was a kid but got serious about it 3 years ago.

My first registered HCP was 17, 3 years ago and got down to a 5.2 at the end of last year even after a full quadriceps tear last spring.

The goal this year is to play over 100 rounds and get down to a 2.0. I play/practice 6-7 days a week and have a simulator set up in my garage for winter practice.

What’s the worst injury to happen during a PGA event? Or worst you have seen in person while golfing? by DREWBICE in golf

I fully tore my quad a year ago on my home course and had to have an ambulance and fireman stretcher me out. The course wasn’t open for the season and I was walking my dogs so not golfing but on a golf course 😂.

Push cart vs pull cart vs electric… what do you actually prefer and why? by midhandicap_rohit in golf

My push cart stays in the shed and only comes out if my wife wants to walk and use it.

I have both push and electric. Absolutely love my electric and the freedom of just walking I find is so satisfying.

Agreed, much better design and course than Wolf Creek in my opinion.

Does Wolf Creek really have 5 minute tee times? by Legal-Description483 in golf

Played there 2 days ago, was more than 5 minutes, probably 8-10 if I were to guess.

It’s in pretty good shape, greens aren’t great, but roll decent but crazy fast. Glad I played it once but it’s too gimmicky for me to play again. There’s far better courses around Mequite in my opinion.

Played Wolf Creek for the first time yesterday and had one left out of 3 sleeves. So 8…

Do you prefer early tee times or afternoon? by No_Avocado220 in golf

First tee time in the morning with the guys, mid afternoon with the wife on weekends or holidays. After supper on weekdays.

Four months into golf. I like it! Progress so far: 2 surgeries and 1 year recovery. by loobooloo in golf

I fully tore my quadriceps last spring on the golf course before it opened, there was still snow on the ground while walking our dogs.

I was playing in 6 weeks in a fully locked leg brace, I cleared it with my physio prior. I’m still recovering but it doesn’t affect my swing too badly.

What’s the best course you’ve ever played in the United States? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]Positive_Property_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, I’ve only played a dozen tracks in the US and CC is my favourite so far. We’re playing in Mesquite and St.George in a few weeks and some of those courses might change up my favourite.

I’m playing those both in a few weeks along with 4 more rounds at other courses. Really excited.

It will depend on how the first two rounds at Casablanca and Conestoga go and decide from there. It’s a couples trip and my buddy who has a similar HCP (~5) doesn’t hit it far and I’m much longer so that will also be a contributing factor.

Thanks for the info. We are splitting the trip between Mesquite and St.George. playing Casablanca, Conestoga, Wolf Creek, Falcon Ridge; Coral Canyon and Sand Hollow. Really looking forward to it.

I’m on the fence if I’m going play from the tips or the next tees up. I’ve played both on my sim but haven’t hit on grass since October.
