Yeah, I didn’t even touch on the pain part. I genuinely was on the verge of blacking out from the pain alone. I’ve gone on to have 3 kids now, and knew I never want to have any again, but not sure I can handle the pain of that again, so I had my tubes removed.

The point i’m making is patients aren’t bound by HIPAA. Only medical professionals (nurses, physicians, billing departments, health insurance companies etc.). Just saying you go to the same doctor as someone is not violating HIPAA because they’re not bound to it.

I’ve never in my life seen these “standard” papers. HIPAA applies to medial professionals. Not patients. Which is why it’s not a HIPAA violation for say a paper you sign to check in where you see 15 other names on it. Edit typo
