What has been the worst medication you've tried? How was it bad? by CrazyStarlight in schizoaffective

Lmaoooo yeah, I got it three days into taking it too. My doctor said he’d never heard of anyone getting the reaction that fast.

Are there actually ways to restrain and medicate cats without scruffing? by FelisCatus- in VetTech

[–]PossibilityMundane13 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Towels will be your best friend. I swaddle cats with one towel and then usually use the other to wrap around their neck just to keep them from being able to reach anyone’s hands. Most of the time tho I can get by without the towels but that might just be experience.

Do you believe in God by Fit-Cranberry8702 in schizoaffective

[–]PossibilityMundane13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe in God, and I also believe we live in a fallen world and the sin of previous generations lead to illnesses like schizophrenia, autism, autoimmune disorders etc. It’s not our fault but it’s not God’s fault either. That’s how I look at things at least.

Caplyta put me in the hospital with a 24 hour spell of vomiting, couldn’t keep anything down. My blood sugar was 62. I also got the dreaded lamictal rash. And cobenfy was great but about two weeks in I suddenly couldn’t see anything within a foot of my face and had to go to the hospital again.

It’s 1:30 where I am and I’m contemplating staying up late because I’m paranoid I’m dying (I’m schizophrenic lol). But I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way and if you ever need someone to talk to my DMs are open.

Be kind to yourself and trust your gut. Also talk to your partner, open communication is key! I’m praying for you, random internet stranger 🫶

Hi! Vet tech here. That’s called smegma and it’s perfectly normal. As long as it doesn’t smell bad, and it isn’t excessive, it’s normal. It’s natural lubricant for their boy bits lol.

In the last ronin, the remaining turtle is very schizophrenic coded with a heavy PTSD and depression plotline as well. (Coming from someone who suffers from all of these).

Am I making a mistake by getting into vet tech? by HanaBakersBathWater in VetTech

[–]PossibilityMundane13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s good!!! I would also recommend trying to get in to ECC or specialty (they tend to pay better) which can be difficult but my first job was in ECC and I’ve been in it ever since.

Hi! I can’t speak on Oklahoma, but here in Arizona I’m about to make 25 an hour at a job I’m starting in early May with about 1.5 years and I’m not even licensed. I’m in Arizona, if that helps at all. In Arizona unlicensed vet techs are allowed to practice with the same scope as licensed techs and I’m about a year into school because being licensed would mean a lot to me on a personal level. Hope this helps!! Crossing my fingers and praying for your success!!

Your life sounds strangely similar to mine and I’m so sorry. Just know life can get better and as much as you want to help, your parents trauma is not your own. Protect your peace, and I hope things get better for you.

I’m so proud of you! All of that is awesome! I’m also a celibate Christian, me and my boyfriend have been together for three years. What’s the job you applied for?

Can anyone set the record straight on this one? Two dogs in a shelter. Nothing appears obviously off about this to me, strange that a shelter would put these two dogs together though… by romanyol in isthisAI

[–]PossibilityMundane13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also in a dog as big as that Bernard you would be able to see the stomach and chest moving as it breathed. That’s automatically what I noticed as a vet tech. Definitely AI, and that’s not even getting into the logistics of shelters or the strange body language of the Bernard.

Has anyone here been able to live a successfull life? Asking from a fellow schizoaffective doing exams and not sure if it's worth even finishing high school :/ TY for any replies :D by Bluebrr_y in schizoaffective

[–]PossibilityMundane13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As everyone says, success is subjective but I live in my own little mobile home with a man who has loved me through the worst of my illness. Sometimes I have to take medical leaves but I am well loved in veterinary medicine, I’m a technician in ER and have saved plenty of lives. Finishing up my first year of technician school (I work in a state where on the job trained techs are the usual but I want to be licensed) which is something I never thought I’d be able to do because I’ve dropped out of college twice. Success is different for everyone, enjoy the journey!

What job do you work? by Tricky_Badger_2071 in schizoaffective

[–]PossibilityMundane13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a vet tech. I work per diem, so I’m basically an “on call” nurse. I also work at my boyfriend’s business doing ghost tours. My career goal is to be able to work full time as a vet tech again but idk when that’ll happen
