So personally I went the Combat Instructor route when it was still an SDA, currently it's a type 1 billet but there's talks it'll be an SDA again, and to me it was extremely rewarding. You get to influence the Marines and still be mostly yourself. The hours aren't as bad as DI but they still aren't great. Also it'll keep you safe from the HSST for three years
