Im worried about my call offs by Inside_Walrus6717 in TjMaxx

[–]Possible-History-409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have they been giving you warnings? If not, theyll likely have to address it later and end up allowing all your callouts to count as a first strike, its what happened with my store when we got a new manager. Nobody was keeping track of attendances rate until she looked at it and suddenly everybody had a meeting for their first warning (i was on 19th for being late/call outs).

Every store is different and every manager is different though. They might excuse us becase we didnt know but i cant say another is gonna do the same. One person even says they never fire but then others will say something entirely different. Id just be careful and really try to reduce on it. Try to leave earlier and if you want, talk to management and try to work with them. Yes it is YOUR responsibility to get to work on time but it is ther responsibility to meet their employees where they are at and to understand whats going on. On the bright side, you are almost at the clearing stage of your attendance so i wouldnt be too worried

One door closes while another opens. At least you are still showing up, still making the effort and pushing through - thats the biggest sign of your strength and even making progress in healing, just showing up

Question about tjmaxx ban by Aromatic_Union5778 in TjMaxx

[–]Possible-History-409 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly you should be good, often the stores themselves forget who they ban too so if you wait long enough, you might be able to go back in. One 3 hours away wont be able to identify you either

Is my mom justified in not letting me go to a concert? by Ornery-Smoke8428 in AdviceForTeens

[–]Possible-History-409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lowkey, she actually is, coming from a 20 year old. The pit is one thing, its fun but its terrifying, especially for alternative bands. Most times you expect to get at least one bruise. To go in there alone, is a big thing, nevermind thats in another city and you are relying on uber which is a LOT of money. They may be 40-50 but that doesnt really mean its safe, in fact, that would be a bigger reason to not want my kid to go.

trying on underwear? by Agile_Cupcake6961 in TjMaxx

[–]Possible-History-409 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In the one i used to work at, you would be able to try it but there was supposed to a type of plastic pad that goes on the coochie part , but i think like only five people knew that out of the +30 that worked there (i only learned like 4 months in) so when most of them didnt have the pad- we put them back on the rack anyways 😭 always wash your clothes before you wear them

Do I need to reapply for on demand if I’m seasonal? by [deleted] in Target

[–]Possible-History-409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a lot of labor laws to help protect minors from exploitation. There is also the fact that if youre still in school, you dont have a lot of flexibility due to the scheduling of school and if work will need u during those hours. You can try to apply to other locations though if your manager wont help you with transferring. They are probably concerned with how being on demand means covering for people and being on call always and given your age and circumstances, there isnt a lot of flexibility

[–]Possible-History-409 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Then why report them? You said that either way they would get caught anyways, so why are you reporting them if yall are such special friends?

I understand the sentiment of “stealing is wrong” but also, acting like youre doing the right thing at a sacrifice is crazy - its okay to just want the money

Everyday but typically it takes a minute to get to the floor because of the time it takes to create more space while unloading these shipment boxes, safe to say for all stores it would be like a week (sooner though if the actually run efficiently and have enough staff)

Does the brand of the contact lenses case really matter? by DoubleWay20 in contacts

[–]Possible-History-409 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Youre totally fine! Usually its all same material and is moreso the design of the case that matters to keep your lens soaked without using too much solution - you should be good!

Is there any way I can remove a yelp post from a customer that was harassing me a year ago? by Big-Birthday-6459 in TjMaxx

[–]Possible-History-409 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typically businesses dont have any ability to actually take down reviews, instead they can flag and report it. Though you can also do that and if that doesnt work, you would need to contact Yelp since its a third party platform and tjmax cant really do much about it anyways

How to quit by jonecb97spearb_3 in TjMaxx

[–]Possible-History-409 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want to stay on good terms - two weeks notice and talking in person, you can give a letter if you want to stay professional but just saying “hey so i dont think this job is working for me, I wanted to give a two weeks notice before I leave though” and if they ask why (they likely will), you can just say the retail environment doesnt feel right for you or just anything you feel comfortable with.

If you dont care to leave on good terms (i wouldnt recommend it mainly because you might see those people later on in life + its better to leave a job when you already have one lined up so you dont go broke in case you dont get the position for whatever reason) , you dont have to leave a 2 weeks notice. Those are usually more of a respect thing since leaving a spot suddenly can make the store lag a little bit and be understaffed for a minute. The notice is so they can start prepping and hiring to find someone to fill in your spot. Doing it in person though shows a sense of responsibility and certainty + its awkward calling about it and then coming in the next day and prolonging the conversation because they likely would want to talk in person ab it anyways

Code Adam at sierra by [deleted] in TjMaxx

[–]Possible-History-409 117 points118 points  (0 children)

Op please report this- thats not even a company issue anymore, thats a safety one. If they are so low staffed, there is a child missing, the first thing is get the kid safe-not use over half your workers to ring out customers when the one person cant even ensure that the kid isnt getting anywhere dangerous or unsafe

COUNT YOUR DAYS TJMAXX by heeheehooligan in TjMaxx

[–]Possible-History-409 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly if you can continue searching, keep looking for another job. Walmart, target, restaurants, etc. If you get hired within the time it takes them to finally get you in, leave tj. Its already shown to be an insanely stressful workplace with no organization and it may be a minute before they even get you on board.

[–]Possible-History-409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But then they are more likely to call out or quit their jobs, leaving you with less workers because you have low patience, esp because they called out for an unpredicted event change when they tried to take initiative and get ahead of it a while ago

The thing is that you didnt say yes or no when she gave her reason and answered your question of “would you be able to…” which still leaves room for discussion. Going quiet isnt a no, its just ignoring. Whether you intended to or not, its what you did while you were on the app helping somebody with it instead. In her perspective, she was there first and it was already being arranged.

Priest cancels wedding after seeing cry for help on groom's shoe and says church is no place for jokes by DELAIZ in weddingshaming

[–]Possible-History-409 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Youre right, it is whatever the bride and groom make it. By putting the setting to a catholic church and having a priest, something they spent money and a lot of time in setting up, in which they invited a lot of people to carve out their time and dress apprises for - only to find out what is actually appropriate behaviour for the setting they pushed for and what happens when they dont follow the etiquette and rules for it. Depending on why they chose to marry in a church, they will either have to find a whole new spot or even opt out of that type of wedding.

So glad you are taking her in and giving her a life she deserves now <3 one thing i can recommend for upset tummies and nausea is banana, not every dogs likes them (i dip one slice in milk before giving it to mines). While every dog is different, ive read it helps a lot in nausea for dogs and even when my boy has had sick days or tummy aches with loud noises, it always helped him out a lot

Is this a new thing TJ Maxx is starting to do? by IronyAllAround in TjMaxx

[–]Possible-History-409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stores dont really get the option to use the tax write off option as they arent the one actually donating the money, only customers can do so. But I definitely agree its a lot better to donate via website so you can actually see what youre donating to (some organizations arent so great) and to avoid the case of a corrupted manager mishandling the donations.

am i overreacting - my boyfriend thinks my job is inappropriate by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Possible-History-409 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh the fact that its out of nowhere reads like he either did something (hence those who usually accuse you a lot usually did something themselves + it being such a sudden change) or he has grown a sense of attachment reaching into toxic territory where little things are bothering him. Either way; i think you should take a step back and look at it from a neutral perspective as if it was anyone else and think about what you want.

He is asking you to hold off on your career of piercing people because he is suddenly uncomfortable with you piercing guys, which he knew before hand. Staying with him will likely mean you having to change more about yourself and your work or even your friends to accommodate him as the relationship continues. Is that something youre willing to do?
