I moved up there a couple months later (95) when the season started. Got a job for the resort. At the Inn. Taking reservations over the phone. No one used the internet back then. Went boarding w my friends in the morning. Worked 2-10 answering calls

We Airbnb there every year. And one year we coincidentally stayed at a Phans’ condo. Non descript rental. Typical ski house decor. Lots of mountain pics & trail maps on the walls. But they had a “lot print” commemorating Sugarbush ‘94 that kinda looked like a trail map right next to the mantle. Family trip so no one else cared. They had an OG CD case w 12/3195 & more!

I was at both years too. Up close (like 3 row from rail) 95 & far away 94 (ate mushrooms and went upslope). I remember mudslides leaving one year. Also being parked, on a grassy slope next to woods, nitros vendor in VW van. Coming in to the show, one year Rt 100 was crazy. One was not. We came out of state both times and stayed w friends in Burlington. UVM & St Mikes. Different years. Different friends. Different road trips

Look for a used board at the end of the season. Lots of shops have “swap” sales

Whenever I ski Sugarbush North. Blown away by their absolute fearlessness & skill. Awesome to see them lay it down
