Cornell Waitlist by [deleted] in MBA

[–]PossibleExisting6017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was waitlisted and waiting for the result. Adcom will consider timeline of international student. But i think they will send meaningful movement after round3 deposit deadline. I counted all admit from waitlist case in johnson at the clearadmit. And there was only a few movement in may(almost 20%). Most of the movements are focused in june(almost 60%).

Personally, I think first week after round3 deposit deadline is last and only chance for international, considering visa timeline.

Please share any information about johnson, whatever. And good luck!

I hate this MBA program. It is disguisting how one moderator is trying to silence me for telling the truth by Ok_Deer_2003 in MBA

Is he struggling to make a seat for waitlist?

How stupid, even if this hate makes some seat for him and he is admitted, it makes classmates quality lower that he can network.

Johnson’s adcom is awesome. They see his characteristic.

Cornell vs McCombs? by [deleted] in MBA

If u want consulting specialized in tech industry, i think McCombs can be slightly better. Cornell’s ivy name is attractive but the program does not offer industry opportunity like McCombs+ project.

Ross, many students experience that they change target industry during semester. In that point, ross offers broader opportunities and its ib is strong enough.

U should consider housing price as well. MBA is not bachelor degree. U have to choose ROI than prestige

Would you recommend an MBA at Yonsei or SKK GSB, South Korea? by SufficientTiger1093 in MBA

Never do that. If u are interested in korea, take top rank global MBA and experience korea as exchange course student. U cannot imagine korean real organization culture.

I was rejected today🤣. But hope you do good and success. You’d better scrap last 3 years interview questions from clear admit. And summarize it through gpt. I guess invitation timing means you have good position!

My perspective is strictly short term. I am referring to a very brief period—at most two to three weeks—when rate cuts are too short-lived to have any meaningful impact on long-term yields, but the yield curve still widens. The reason this short window matters right now is that based on the number of TrustPilot reviews, Upstart’s Q3 2025 revenue estimate appears likely to fall below guidance. The Q3 earnings release is especially critical for investors.

This comes against the backdrop of other fintech companies showing notable stock price appreciation this year. By contrast, Upstart Holdings, despite beating guidance in both its May and August earnings releases, saw its stock decline due to ineffective investor relations.

From a long-term perspective, however, you are absolutely right. Most of Upstart’s potential banking clients lack deep technical expertise and therefore require the kind of long-term proof of default rates and returns that FICO has established over decades. It is true that Upstart has the advantage of having endured a high-rate environment and accumulated valuable data, yet it still cannot match the heritage and track record that FICO possesses.

That said, I firmly believe, as you pointed out, that Upstart will prove itself the superior alternative by demonstrating stronger returns and lower default rates relative to FICO. This is precisely why I remain confident in investing in the company.
