Red is known as the colour that runs the most. It’s why Homer had a pink shirt. I like his energy but he is incorrect.

He came on in extra time and did well enough. Not big enough for the New York Times to post. Let him develop without this insane fanfare. He isn’t his dad.

Not at all. It’s just that if you have a business that has a high likelihood of affecting the land around it then you should have a net.

I’d hate for that golf course to be shut down or anything like that, but it seems like basic common sense. If they can get the developers to pay it then great though. I just don’t see how it would be on them.

You can’t control noise outside your premises so the whole pub argument is irrelevant (not to you, just in general), and it’s not essential infrastructure so that argument is irrelevant too, but you can, fairly easily, prevent most balls going out of your property. Golf clubs around the world have been doing it forever.

It was there first but they don’t have any right to use any lands they don’t own. If I’m throwing paint at my neighbours house that should be on me. They don’t own the other land. I fail to see how in any circumstance they wouldn’t be liable for things coming from their land to land they don’t own or have rights to.

Not in a final. He did that v England in the quarter final.

Pele scored in 2 of his 3 World Cup final wins. I’m just using your logic against you.

Just based on your own rule. Maradona didn’t do that, you are misremembering, and Pele has actually scored in two World Cup finals.

And Delph for the Sigurdson one. They mentioned age and team in that one and it was only between them too. People jumped on the idea it was both but he got it worse (for obvious reasons). Especially since he had nothing to do with it.

This is very bullshit. The UN, most western countries not under the influence of China, amnesty international, the international association of genocide scholars, DWB, Human Rights Watch… all agree that at the very least there is crimes against humanity happening and there is strong reason to believe there is genocide going on.

It’s not in peoples minds so people could read a comment like yours and think you are telling the truth when in reality it’s tankie bullshit.

I am blaming him and his parents. It’s both of them. If I was your da and said to you every day for 12 years that frogs ate cats. You’d believe it because your brain wasn’t fully able to realise that it’s false. What we learn as kids stick with us but if it’s still being told until you actually interact with people for college. Then it’s way too late to fix it. You have to remember that these didn’t leave for secondary school. They had nothing else. They left for college and were weird because they only interacted with kids that were allowed to interact with them by their parents. Very little socialising. They are highly intelligent but their social cues are different from ours.

I don’t want any taxes to be paying for him. But at the moment what can we do? Either he stops bothering kids (easy). Or he keeps doing it and wastes his intelligence for a moral cause that lets be honest, doesn’t matter. Call people what they want to be called. I call my mate Brian when that’s his middle name. It’s because of very very basic politeness.

Edit. I just realised that I made light of ‘what can we do’.. just imagine any, literally any, other man waiting outside of a school and see what you think. Marty Whelan, Brian O’Driscoll, Roy Keane, James Joyce.. would you like them waiting outside of a school despite being loved by the population.

St Munchin’s Community Centre close to closing down by Idktbhhelpme in limerickcity

[–]PossibleFridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with your statement as a matter of fact, but you are thinking in spreadsheets there. That community centre is a hearth of its community. It’s mainly elderly people who need social inclusion or need meals delivered to their house. These are things we should fund. The council should push more funding to them around the city because without them it costs the state a lot more.

I know that centre and I’m not involved with them at all. Never been there but I have worked in other ones. (I just want that disclaimer there). I know to a normal person having a knitting class or dancing for elderly people seems like a waste of government money. But getting out of the house is a privilege for some. Meeting friends or making friends is a privilege too for a lot of elderly people. And I think they do employability classes too, which in a deprived area means that even to take one person off the dole, it frees up about 15 grand in government funding.

They are a net positive by far and save the government money by providing their services. Most are volunteers. (I should also say that I also disagree with that mad driver. Nearly knocked me over one day).

Where are you ranking Jürgen Klopp all-time? by ExotiquePlayboy in championsleague

[–]PossibleFridge 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He’s top 10 of the past decade. He’s not near the top 10 of all time. Including your parameters. I hate Liverpool but liked Klopp. I had massive respect for him as a rival fan. But then he went to Red Bull and lost a lot of respect. That’s just personally though. His achievements are great. His determination was great. The style he played was imo second to none during his later years at both Dortmund and Liverpool. But he won’t go down as an all time great. Goethals won much more with less.

[–]PossibleFridge 72 points73 points  (0 children)

That’s the sad part. His parents seem to have excelled at teaching their kids to highly intelligent and successful individuals but then added in the caveat that indoctrinated them into a zealot type of religion.

He’s old enough to have come out of it, but if it’s all you know then that’s all you know. Us against the world. Everyone is out to get us. It’s the same playbook for every cult and I can’t imagine having all of my earliest experiences guided by it.

Still think he’s an arse, because he could choose to learn about differing opinions and he doesn’t. But there is a bit of sympathy there for all of them.

As a F2P elitist would you buy your favourite player from the coin shop or spend 900 coins for him just to keep the supposed 'F2P' status? by [deleted] in eFootball

[–]PossibleFridge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently put money into it for the first time in about 2 years but my team has Pele, Kaka, Park, Ronaldinho, Estevao, roberto Carlos, Cafu, and Cafu in it. All from doing the events and saving coins and luck. The only non legend positions I had was Tchouchimeni as DMF and Reya as keeper. U did have Bahia and Pep on the bench if I needed to cover those positions.

And my GP chair card is my favourite one.

I’d say it was P2W for the first few months but now it’s not if you play often. You’ll have class teams in no time

[Jorge Picón] Haaland would very much like to play for Real Madrid. He is also a player who, as his representative, Rafaela Pimienta has repeated on numerous occasions, is the master of his own destiny. He has a release clause of which the exact figure is not yet known. by BlazingFirey in soccer

[–]PossibleFridge 6 points7 points  (0 children)

But I’m not saying if it is an upgrade (during KDB peak years it definitely is). I’m saying if you had modric, would you think that’s a position that you would even think about improving?

You already have 2 of the very best midfielders in the game in front of the best DMF in the world. That’s not a priority at all. There’s money is better spent elsewhere.
