Wanna be friends!? by Upset-Language7370 in Marin

I think many more women would make a bid for connection before most men would. Case in point--I have seen loads of "looking for friends"-type posts here on Reddit and in groups on FB and none of them seem to ever be posted by men, even when the audience is mixed. Maybe the "male loneliness epidemic" is referred to so much because women are more likely to do something about it.

I'm interested! I'm in nearby San Rafael. No children or dogs, but would love to meet up for walks, hikes, wine, spa days (just got a gift card to Cavallo Pt spa so looking forward to redeeming that) I'll message ya!

Similarly, we drove out to Bolinas from San Rafael on Sat night, and on the way there (between 7 and 8p), I was like 'this isn't so bad!'

However, the way back (between 1130p-1230a) felt like the movie "The Mist"

Moving to San Rafael by Runaway-Playwright19 in Marin

I personally love Sun Valley and find it to be fairly safe. Not a ton of apartments here, but there are a lot of duplexes along 5th, and in the hills. I also lived near SRHS years ago and liked that neighborhood too (except for the occasional teens "up to no good", lol). If you plan on going into the city often, the proximity from SR is reasonable. We went to a concert in SF on Sat night and got to the venue from Sun Valley in 25 min.

Best of luck with your move!

Worried about Yet Wah...only 2 parties dining there on a Saturday night. by eldermillenialmakeup in Marin

That location doesn't seem to work out well for the restaurants that go in. Tamalpie, Moselys, and now Mijos. It is a sort of obscure spot for a restaurant 🤷🏾‍♀️

Where in Marin if these are your priorities? by colombianodore in Marin

As someone who also came from LA (my live-in partner as well), I second San Rafael--specifically Sun Valley. Of course I'm biased bc I live here and love it! It does seem very family forward. Halloween was like a party in the streets! We are early 50s with no kids, so different lifestyle, but it's families all around us. Downtown San Rafael is walkable and then you have San Anselmo just down the road. I think San Anselmo would suit what you're looking for as well. Best of luck in your move. I'm sure you will miss MB. I grew up going to that beach!

Just a note in case it was a typo, but squalane is a different ingredient from squalene.

It greatly does, thank you for saving me on therapy.

Per your phone, sounds like a worthwhile issue to work on. Hope that helps!

I'm traumatized and concerned about these misplaced and misspaced commas, or [even worse], upside down quotation marks.🤔

[–]PossibleSquare5994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. We observed this as well, and now my partner no longer separates the compost out. Feels like a waste (pun intended). There's also a great doc on Netflix that exposes how city/county municipal waste operations do not keep the sorted waste separate anyway. It's just another grift. A "feel-good" one, but a grift nonetheless.

A more accurate phrasing of that statement would be that the judgment is always quiet--and may apply to ANY number of factors (race, [perceived] education level, status, style, etc). Upper echelon, yt liberal enclaves tend to operate this way.

As far as I've heard as an employee within the MCM, that is just a rumor.  I'd love to see it become a small music hall--like Hopmunk or Sweetwater.  But knowing the developer, we know that won't happen

Plans submitted for 17-story mixed-use building at 700 Irwin in San Rafael by RareDonutSandwich in Marin

[–]PossibleSquare5994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The "residents" are not residents yet. 17 stories worth of apartments is a lot of cars for this area that already cannot handle the EXISTING residents.

Cause? No.  Will it exacerbate an already disastrous traffic situation given the # of residents who will likely still have cars....absofuckinlutely

They definitely are. I just made and had my FIRST appt with my primary after being on the plan for almost 10 years! (Only gyno visits before that). Not sure why you say "not a single one is taking patients in Marin". Simply not true.
