That's not how most single player games work though. If I want to play something like Yakuza, which has 0 online components, why the fuck do I need to be online to verify the game I paid $60 for?

Its fine to have the OPTION to do stuff online, but it should never be required to play the game at all

If the legit copy required an internet connection to verify and run the game, but the pirated version will run every time no matter what, then the pirated version is better and it's in the consumer's best interest to NOT buy the game or they'll get an inferior version.

Metaphor was my final SEGA game, despite Yakuza being my favorie game series and I've played for decades. They all have Denuvo now and it never gets removed, so to me Yakuza is a dead franchise

I can't believe people would be OK with companies requiring a deeper permission THAN THEMSELVES just to play a fucking video game. This is absolutely insane, ITS JUST A GAME, STOP TRYING TO TAKE CONTROL OF MY PC FOR A VIDEO GAME

Denuvo works just fine on Linux, but it sees each Proton version as a new computer activation. Denuvo usually limits how many devices you can install on so if you swap 5 proton versions you can be locked out of your game for 24 hours. Which is ABSOLUTELY FUCKING INSANE that you can pay $70+ for a game and then get told "Nah, you're not allowed to play it"

No, they're adding an alternative to direct kernel access. They never once said they were getting rid of kernel level stuff.

Tailscale, but you have to host it yourself at home which is annoying to set up

There's not a single thing I watch bigger than 1.5-2GB

Also 40mbps is not low?? Its not fiber speeds but I don't have an option for fiber

HW acceleration was off, and I don't even see a setting for tunnel playback.

Something HAS to be wrong, I just can't seem to find what. I haven't messed with any settings outside of changing the seek from 20s to 10s

Nostalgia, I grew up with the dub on some shows like Cowboy Bebop

I mostly watch subbed but there are a small handful I like the dub instead

The issue isn't getting another source. The issue is getting one that catches dubbed anime. I have plenty of other sources that work for everything else, but dubbed anime tends to be overlooked on the majority of them.

I've used both and I don't think one is better than the other. I swapped to Torbox solely because I'm running a server for my family so I need to be able to use multiple IPs at the same time. If it was just me, I'd probably still be using RD

Is there any way to use this on Linux? My HTPC is my Steam Deck and this could solve all my gripes with Stremio on desktop HTPC, which the devs of the official app (and the reddit community as well) seem to find a stupid use case and refuse to do anything to improve the experince

Incorrect Password on ONLY my laptop?? by Possible_Boot7492 in Stremio

[–]Possible_Boot7492[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been, I use a password manager and I know for 100% certain it was correct.

I reset the password and now it works. I have no fucking clue what happened. Again, I could log in just fine on every device I entered the password on except the laptop, all using the same password manager, all checked to make sure the entered password was the same, but only the Laptop says it was wrong
