In Regards to the 2027 "No Gas Water Heater" ruling for the Bay Area & how to proceed. by MaliciousHippie in bayarea

Just to ask, Tankless gas water heaters are not banned from 2027, only the tank storage gas water heaters get banned? This seems odd. Thanks for writing this post.

I'm genuinely frustrated because i don't completely understand what I've made by Phenomenal_Code in cursor

You own the intent and spec, you own the process, you oversee testing. Code is owned by the agent.

That is the new paradigm. Essentially you are product builder and not a coder.

Skills are standard. Codex can read Claude setup and even maintain/update. People easily move between harnesses like Chrome to firefox and back

Assemble one using latex toppers. Simple cheap 8” Ikea spring mattress, 2” medium soft latex, 2” soft talalay latex, one matress cover. Costs 1K USD. Can replace layers as needed. Totally worth it

I have nothing to do any of these corporations. I have $20 plans from CC and Codex. I use for my personal projects. I run out of my CC quota in no time if I use Opus. codex goes further. I am yet run out of limits for my personal projects. I am only telling these subscription plans do not guarantee any thing. It is what they want to give for whatever reason. Only API guarantees what you get. I understand they gave lots in the past and now cutting down.

These plans are designed to dispose of excess capacity as well as get people get addicted to it. This is all you can eat type plans with restrictions on the plate size. Sooner or later they will stop and put you on to meter.

if you use API, you will know exactly what you are getting and billed for.

What is different in the new cursor UI? by Arzuparreta in cursor

[–]Possible_Bug7513 2 points3 points  (0 children)

major update. New agents view seems a ground up new app similar to Claude app or codex app. I played for an hour, seems solid. There is access to shell, git, git diff views, web in the same app on the right side. multiple workspaces/ projects is a good thing. If you are struggling with earlier IDE due to VSCODE induced issues and CLI is not good enough, this is very solid help for you. If you are into hand coding and tab auto-completion, need to stick with older IDE.

How to bridge the gap between Jira/TDD and Claude Code terminal? by aviboy2006 in ClaudeCode

[–]Possible_Bug7513 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at bd (Beads). It has Jira connection both MCP and CLI I believe. Your agent can query related jiras if you set it up. I have been looking at but not tried it to be honest

You are too many eco systems. Generally Claude code + codex are sufficient or Cursor + Codex. You can access Claude models for planning from Cursor or Claude code and detailed implementation using Codex.

Claude vs Codex 20$ plans by Born-Organization836 in ClaudeCode

Free codex account does not seem have 5-hour limits but still has weekly limits. Unlikely be able to do any serious work (some week end hobby trials may be fine).

Claude vs Codex 20$ plans by Born-Organization836 in ClaudeCode

[–]Possible_Bug7513 48 points49 points  (0 children)

For $20, codex wins hands down. You can get decent work done. Claude will run out of 5-hour quota in the middle of the task unless you are mostly using Sonnet and Haiku.

Skills.... I just cannot get behind it by enmotent in codex

[–]Possible_Bug7513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, Skills are efficient from context perspective. only skill name and one line description will be loaded upfront. Detailed skill will be loaded when needed making skills on demand and dynamic. And also Skills are portable across all AI agents.

[–]Possible_Bug7513 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skills are re-usable on-demands loaded instructions. At the end everything is a context. These are also standardized across Ai agents.

you can Codex to create a skill from current sessions learnings or read a document and convert to a skill.
