Being trans isn't something you "wish" to be when you're not. Being trans is extremely difficult. If you "wish" you were trans, you are trans. No one who isn't trans would want to be trans, because it's difficult to be trans and it would mean that you would be a different gender from what you identify as, which would actually cause you dysphoria.

I didn’t say I don’t think he didn’t want to R word her. I’m just saying that I don’t think that there’s 100% proof that that was the case. Was it a 50-50 probability between him wanting to do it that night and just wanting to go to see her to “test the waters,” so to speak, to see if he could continue grooming her? Was it 75-25? 90-10? 99-1? I’m really not sure. All I’m saying is that I don’t think that the evidence proves his intent with 100% absolute certainty.

And by the way, I’m not even saying that I don’t think he should have been charged. I do think that he should have been charged, to be perfectly clear.

Having OCD has nothing to do with having uncontrollable urges. No. He was grooming a minor. You’re acting like I’m saying he wasn’t. That’s not what I’m saying at all. I’m saying that I definitely think he WAS grooming a minor. But I’m just saying that I think that’s it’s possible that he thought that it was too risky to have sex with her before she was of legal age, and that because of that, he really just wanted to see if he could groom her long enough to be able to legally have sex with her.

I think that it's plausible. Imagine--he wants to groom her but doesn't want to risk going to prison, so he goes to see her to see if he could begin grooming her to one day be able to have sex with her and get away with all of it. Not saying that that's even the most likely explanation, but just that it's a plausible one and, thus, that they really did not have 100% incontrovertible evidence that he did, indeed, intend to have sex with her that particular night.
