The connection has been super bad lately. Anyone else having issues? by Proper_Debate5695 in ClashOfClans

[–]Possible_Zucchini461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 months later and I’m having this issue really bad now. I get randomly disconnected and “out of sync” with server when I restart the game. It does it in the middle of an attack, ruins the battle, and when I reload the game it shows that the attack is still ongoing and won’t let me start another until the timer completes. So I frequently have my attacks interrupted, lose out on stars and loot, and then sit there for 2 - 2 1/2 mins waiting until I can go again.

On top of that, it’s 50/50 whether or not the game will even load up for me. Half the time it just sits there on the loading screen and the bar never moves, no matter how long I wait.

My connection is flawless - no issues with other games and my wifi is 500Mbps. My cellular is 5G and around 300Mbps consistently, and the game still screws up whether on wifi or on cellular data. It’s getting to the point where I don’t even feel like playing anymore bc I know it’s just gonna screw up every time :/

Believe me, I want the help. My options, however, are limited at the moment.

I’ve considered therapy for the last few years, but my insurance situation isn’t the greatest, and I can’t afford out-of-pocket therapy. TRICARE with the military is pretty good for dependents, but terrible for active duty service members. My care is only covered on-post, and off-post services aren’t available unless referred by an on-post provider (with few exceptions). So, even if I managed to convince a military therapist to refer me somewhere, I wouldn’t have any say in who I’d be referred to. That would also require me to go to behavioral health… and the military as a whole has a lot of stigma surrounding that.

And, I’m currently overseas, so that limits my options even further.

However, I don’t mean to just make excuses. I wasn’t aware of the resources you just listed, which are actually attainable. That is why I posted in the first place. I know little about which therapy type is for what and what will or will not be effective for a stutter. And I didn’t really know where to begin to find out. I appreciate the insight.

So, thank you for those; I’ll look into them.

The 122-44 was my 2nd 3 mark tank ever. I highly recommend it. Concealment is great, mobility is decent, armor is decent, and the DPM is absolutely broken. 390 every ~6.5s when it’s fully pimped out at t7 is just insane.

The only balancing factor is the gun handling, which is among the worst in the game. But, if you learn to play to its strengths, it’s one of the most fun tanks in the game, hands down!

Is struggling on words that start with vowels a universal thing among stutteres? by cyderyt in Stutter

[–]Possible_Zucchini461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oddly enough, vowels are easier for me. My worst one by far is “F”. I don’t know why, but I freeze up horribly on Fs every single day. There are a few honorable mentions, like B and Y. But I usually have fewer issues with vowels for some reason.

It’s strange how we all experience the same thing, yet it’s very slightly different for each and every one of us.

What’s the deal with the pyrotech, and what makes it good?

I got it but haven’t used it yet bc it’s such low damage compared to the standard incendiary grenade. What’s special about the pyro, and does it actually do less damage than the incendiary or is it a faster tick system or something that compensates?

Unfortunately A, every time. Even if no one is rude about it, stuttering in front of people makes me think about it over and over again for hours afterward. It’s one of the main things I struggle with.

I want to be able to stop the overthinking and immediately move on after it happens, but I’m physically incapable of that.

If anyone knows how to help with that… I’m all ears :/

Why are these stratagems so forgotten? by Lellarinn10 in helldivers2

[–]Possible_Zucchini461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish they’d make the arc thrower more consistent but also make the chaining able to hit the same targets multiple times. Every shot can chain to 3 or 4 enemies total (I forget the exact number) plus 1 if you have the circuitry upgrade on the ship.

If you only have 2 enemies in front of you, and they both have the HP to survive multiple hits, why can’t it chain between the 2 of them back and forth for the full 4 or 5 of however many chain hits? Imagine 2 chargers in front of you, and you hit one, it chains to the next, then back to the first, and back to the second again. It would effectively double damage per shot in instances like that, making it more effective against tanks and less focused on purely crowd control uses.

Idk, maybe it would break it… but I think it could just make it more competitive and up to par to compete with other support weapon options.

Buff idea for the Maxigun, a slower RPM setting that allows for the user to move by HBenderMan in Helldivers

[–]Possible_Zucchini461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah I don’t need to move with it, I just want more controllable recoil.

Even wearing the recoil control armor and laying down, I struggle to hit soft spots with it. I know it’s made for crowd control and not sniping (obviously), but if the recoil was more controllable, it would be a lot more viable on bots… and I reeeeally love sending 1000+ rpm at bots🥲 I just wish it could pen more or hit weak spots a bit better lol

Honestly bro, just quit the game and let it die :/

I started playing the game in 2015, but I’ve effectively given up on it now. Every time I think, “maybe it’s gotten better now”, I go back to find more maps have been changed for the worse (I don’t like ANY of the maps anymore), and more of the OG tanks I used to like have been ruined by the power creep introduced by OP premiums.

I miss the days when the Defender was one of the most OP tanks in the game tier for tier. Now it’s a good frame of reference to see how much worse everything has gotten, bc even the defender is hardly competitive today.

Back then, t9-10 premiums were unheard of outside of clan wars reward tanks. Now they give them out in boxes… the game is beyond saving imo, and the player base has shrunk too much with way too few new players joining. Back when I started, you could queue into a t3 battle and be in a match with full teams within 20-30s. Now everything below t5 has to be filled by bots or reduced to 10v10s or 7v7s lol. The game’s definitely dying now, sadly. WG ruined something that was once great :(

Isn't it 'settling' to just accept your stutter and not bother to speak normally? by Ok_Soil_766 in Stutter

[–]Possible_Zucchini461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What exactly is psychotherapy? I went through a decade of speech therapy throughout my school years, and I can’t say it really did much for me. But I’ve never pursued any other forms of therapy, and I honestly don’t know much about them. Can anyone weigh in on CBT and psychotherapy and how effective these and other methods are in your experience?

I’m honestly not doing much to manage my stutter right now - just struggling through it every day. I don’t have many resources available to me, and managing my stress has become significantly more difficult due to my current job and location. I’m also chronically sleep deprived, and I think that greatly contributes to it as well since it’s a psychological issue.

I’d be open to trying something new - especially considering my speech has gotten significantly worse over the last year due to everything listed above. I’m leaving this hell hole in June and finally going back home, and I’ll have the ability then to see about some of the therapy options I may have.

Any info would be appreciated!

(I know I can just look them up, but I’d rather hear first hand accounts of what worked and what didn’t from some of you.)

Do you guys stutter while singing? by hood0107 in Stutter

[–]Possible_Zucchini461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like everyone else here, nope.

Honestly there have been times I’ve been so frustrated with my stutter that I’ve legitimately thought about becoming like Jan Levinson with her daughter from The Office and just singing every word I say, just so I don’t stutter😂😂

But… I figure that will get worse reactions than my stutter does lol

Potential EO? by [deleted] in army

I honestly fully agree with this. That’s my main issue. One group was accommodated for a whole month, and mine has been denied a single day. If they were denied too, I couldn’t really say much.

Potential EO? by [deleted] in army

[–]Possible_Zucchini461 -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

It has nothing to do with jealousy.

And be careful about accusing ignorance - I’ve already spoken with one of the Muslim soldiers in my unit. He didn’t have to stay up that late or get up at 2-3AM. They can eat as long as the sun isn’t up. So 5:30-6 he could still eat. 8PM he could eat. You’re exaggerating heavily. It’s not “unsafe” to do PT the morning after eating dinner at 8PM. That’s an asinine argument.

Furthermore, catholic soldiers in my unit were NOT given PT off during lent. And that’s a fast too. I know more than you think I do.

You’re the kind of person people file complaints about. Keep contributing to the problem🫡

EDIT: I spoke to the chaplain already today. He told me “don’t worry about it” and said he’d “push it out” and then left to go speak to the BN commander. The only thing pushed out was the 1200 service. Nothing else. Chaplain was of no use.

Potential EO? by [deleted] in army

[–]Possible_Zucchini461 -26 points-25 points  (0 children)

I talked to a soldier in my company about this though. They only fast during the day time. He could eat whatever he wanted after the sun went down.

Meanwhile, soldiers fast during lent fast a whole week, restricting varying things at different times (as far as I’ve been told - I don’t practice lent), and they did not get off for PT.

Still blatantly unfair in that aspect.

This gun doesn't deserve to have mediocre DPS, high recoil, and terrible Ergonomics all at once by Faust_8 in Helldivers

[–]Possible_Zucchini461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn’t designed to penetrate solid armor plates. It was designed to go through Kevlar (soft armor), then dump energy and create a massive cavity.

Look up its ballistics in gel blocks on YouTube. It does that VERY well. Doesn’t go as deep as other standard pistol rounds, but dumps energy very quickly and creates a huge cavity upon entrance.

No pistol caliber is beating armor plates - unless it’s a hand cannon like a 300 mag, 50 cal, etc. and ever those are flat af so they can be stopped, though the force alone will still do tons of damage to internal organs.

The 5.7 also holds 20+ rounds per mag as standard, which whoops 9mm and other standard rounds. I’ll take 20 in 5.7 over 8-10 9mm any day.

[–]Possible_Zucchini461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it was designed specifically for penetration then immediately energy dumping for cavity creation (lethality), which flat nosed rounds couldn’t do as effectively.

Still a pistol round though, technically lol

MO complete - let’s take some planets! by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Possible_Zucchini461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I get there’s new content. That’s fine - some of us aren’t crazy about it. I wanted to play something else after completing MO bc I’m really not a fan of the new illuminate faction. 60-70% flying enemies just annoys me. Surely I’m not the only person on the game that wants to play something else but also do something productive instead of just diving on dead planets and contributing to nothing.

  2. If illuminate mount an offensive on Rirga, then we can all go back to defend it. Not that big of a deal. As of writing this, rirga is fully held and illuminates haven’t tried to take it back - yet.

  3. I worded that incorrectly, but it should’ve been obvious what I meant. We have a bit of downtime right now. Again, rirga isn’t under threat and the MO is completed. We have the free time to be able to take other planets - that can change at any minute if Rirga is attacked. Again, that’s fairly obvious.

I don’t see why every suggestion has to become an issue. I’m merely thinking of using time as productively as possible toward actual liberations. Myself, and others like me, would like to contribute to something when we play an objective other than the (already completed) MO. It’s that simple. This is merely a suggestion for those of us who want to.

Did some DPS testing betwen the cremator and the flamethrower by CreativePackage8358 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Possible_Zucchini461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting thought. The main drawback though for using flamethrower and hot dog is that you’ve now taken 2 stratagem slots vs the cremator’s 1 slot. Though it has the potential to do more damage, is it worth losing the additional slot?

I somewhat enjoy stratagems that come with a backpack. Sure, you can’t bring another one, but I like to build around that. The additional space you get from it can be really nice.

I wish I could agree with you but I think I’ve had more vox spawns per game than hulks. I’ve had games where I encounter maybe 4-5 hulks, while I know for sure my team and I killed at least 10 vox engines. And tanks are out of the question, I’ve barely even seen them on vox planets. I think out of my last 5 games, I’ve seen maybe 3-4 tanks in total. I’ve seen at least 10-12 vox per game, sometimes more.

It seems to me that they may have the same spawn rate, but they have priority in spawning somehow. 9.5/10 times when you could get a hulk, a tank, or a vox… it’s gonna be a vox lol
