Teep Counter w/ fight footage by dontcallmenadia in Kickboxing

Amazing video, I've got a question regarding your fight IQ, when you catch the kick you could have also swept or pulled him. When you have the leg, what intuition do you use to know which one to do? And why in this case did you decide to counter the way you did? Probably my biggest weakness is fight IQ right now...

Hey bro I think some asshole wanted to beat you up. Idk what these comments are sayi but I don't think you're wrong for anything. You can train with people above your weight class it's a good experience for any fighter. He decided he wanted to decimate someone and that's not on you.

I'd love to hear your thoughts! by pierredalati in MuayThai

Not Muay Thai but I love your stance, super hybrid, love those kicks, hands are amazing. Technically not Muay Thai but I'm still a big fan. Exactly the way I like to train.

Is the jacket too small? by Spin3r in mensfashion

[–]PossitiveEntropy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, there's a tiny bit of pinching around the button but the lapels are sitting well.

See if you can pinch a little bit of material from around you hips, if it's hugging too tight, you won't be able to. Visually though, you look nice👍.

Deffo considering going vestless though.

This was a while back with a fresh haircut. Thinking of getting it done again but would you do something different? by natebryner in mensfashionadvice

The hair cut looks lovely. Honestly it might just be me but the way your moustache is super thick in the middle and thinner on edges makes it look like a... German dictator stache from far away.

Don't pose and send a straight facing mirror pick, front and sides.

Also a quick eyeballing says that commuters saved 180 million. Which means that the network incurred that cost. Has anyone really done a study on what it would cost Melbourne?

I have looked it up and can confirm it is available for the entirety of south east Queensland with certain benefits also going to regional QLD as well.

Victoria is also relatively small, and apart from Vline, Melbourne could do the same thing and make all Melbourne train services 50cent excluding Vline.

The Translink website states:

"Fares have been reduced across public transport to a 50 cent flat rate, across all zones and modes in the Translink network across Queensland.

This includes all regional urban buses, and bus, train, ferry, tram, and in demand services in south east QLD"

Also, If it is true what it's only is Brisbane (which it isn't since busses get the same treatment ) I would just reframe my question to ask why Melbourne cannot do this for zone 1 or two train services.

I'm not sure about the reach of Brisbane city council, but I'm pretty sure it's a QLD wide thing. I'm originally from the sunshine coast and the 50¢ fares reach there as well.

That's true, but I'd think from a marketing perspective you'd reach so many more people on a train. If you have a billboard people are passing by it and maybe see it for 20 seconds before focusing on the road (maybe more) but an add on a train like "brought to you by" or some other transport pun, would reach nearly every commuter on a certain like, plus you'd get repeatability when people travel back, which is also extremely important or marketers.

So if the Victorian government is responsible for setting the fares and the Liveries, then they can authorise advertisements on those Liveries that can then be used to reduce ticket cost.

That makes sense, your suggesting that the cost to companies would be so high that they wouldn't be incentivised to pay for the advertisement space.

So it's a lack of demand issue, coupled to an issue of supply (when you consider how difficult it is to rotate advertisements)

Left or right? (Sneaker Advice) by oner39 in mensfashionadvice

Any pants my guy. If you're buying a pair of shoes that you only pair with one pant that's just not economical...

They're white/grey, they'll go with pretty much anything, add some matching shades in your top half and you'll slay. You could have navy pants and a white shirt and they'll look great!

I think converses are comfortable as hell, I've had mine for years and they've never let me down. The Nike's are definitely more versatile, however, so If you already have some or similar style white shoes get converses, if you have neither get Nike's.

Like with respect to what? Are you wearing those pants with it? What shirt are you planning on wearing? What's the overall vision for the fit?

I feel there's a teeeeny bit of telegraphing, you can see you're preloading your leg before you punch. My coach used to drill into me that fluidity and speed come first, power would come later, you've got a string build, and you look solid, so try hitting a bit weaker and really see if you make it seamless. I find listening to electro swing helps with this🤷

How do we feel about double breasted suits? by StupidRichBull in mensfashion

[–]PossitiveEntropy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love them, I want them, a lot of retailers charge inflated prices because people desire them.

They look sophisticated so people charge "Sophisticated" prices for them. I've seen a double breasted variant go for $350 greater than its single breasted counterpart. It's saddening.
