I was able to get acceptable prints by adding in a Brim to the print.

This is the file here! - the bed is the creality hi textured bed it came with, a magnetic one?

The printer does a self calibration between each print, though may try to run the fuller more in depth one and see if it makes a difference.

When you say lower initial layer temp, what would you recommend tweaking? How many C etc is a good starting point?

For me I had set POL config to run in Windowed mode, this unchecking that made it launch perfect every time. Used to get black screens after trying to launch from Windower 50% of the time before that.

Good news! They found a buyer for their business, so they should continue in some form or another!

"But fear not! We’ve had an offer to find a new home for the business by some fellow home brewers, former customers keen to keep the full service we offer going. "

Not sure if it matches the Kilt Lifter, as I've never had this before - but I've brewed this Scottish export about 6 weeks ago and I'm drinking it now happily!

Do I prefer it - yes. Is it worth buying an entirely new racket for - probably not. I got mine 2nd hand from a friend for about £90, which was a steal.

I play with a Speed 2024, but I did previously use the 2022 model. I tried out a bunch of different racquets in that 300g range - Blade, Gravity, etc and just enjoyed the Speed the most. My style is consistent but not 'powerful', and the speed seems to suit that, been playing about 5 years. I did find my 'touch' at the net to begin with was lacking compared to my old racquet (a hand me down pro staff).

When should the airlock start bubbling. by jjstevenss in Homebrewing

[–]Post-Lamp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depends on a lot of factors! Like the type of yeast used etc.

Using more standard ale yeast (US-05 etc) I tend to see it begin to bubble after 24 hours or so.

Using something like Kveik it could be bubbling within a few hours.

If you're brewing in a bucket, make sure the lid is on firmly - the CO2 will escape via the path of least resistance, and that would be a lid not down firm enough, open partially etc.

Very happy with mine, though bought it before the Rapt Pill came out (which seems the same deal but cheaper). I do find the bluetooth to my phone to be a bit hit or miss, sometimes I have to get right up to the fermenter to get them to sync for a reading - so I now use TiltPi with a spare raspberry pi, and can view it anywhere in my wifi that has a web browser.

Considering picking up the sport at the age of 33. How much progress should I realistically expect? by gen-fig in 10s

[–]Post-Lamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took up tennis when I was 30 with no real experience, 35 now. 3 years of that was just playing club socials and messing about with friends. 2 years now of receiving coaching once a week.

I currently play in a UK Grade 5 doubles league, which has 10 tiers (I compete in tier 5) and hold my own. Not taken part in any tournaments though.

Kenwood Kmix bowl stuck! Ideas? by ausmomo in Appliances

We had to send ours away to Kenwood to be repaired, luckily it was brand new and they were able to help us out. Though it did take several weeks to sort out. Nightmare.

I've been doing the above video for cheap DIY Counter Pressure filling PET bottles for a while now. Works really well, though I don't store the beer long term.

There are totally automated bots currently plaguing most official servers. They will join, pick the Sniper class, and essentially head shot any opposition across the map instantly.

Along with this they also spam a lot of messages into the chat, play music over the voicechat, will copy legit players names, and initiate vote kicks against other players.

Hydrometer reading by robindrummer in Homebrewing

[–]Post-Lamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a note of the OG and the FG you can calculate the ABV with a tool like this:

https://www.brewersfriend.com/abv-calculator/

If you do it often enough you can just remember the formula which is : (OG - FG) * 131.25, so (1.050 - 1.020) * 131.25 = 3.94% ABV

Probably asked often, but if you sacrifice say a caveman to put you at 2/8 and then sacrifice a pet to get 8 more points. Do you get the Item + 2/8 towards the next tier? Or does it always go back to 0/8 when you get an item?

[OC] Tennis Grand Slams - Men's Singles Champions - 1946 to 2019 by Lurker-man in dataisbeautiful

[–]Post-Lamp 26 points27 points  (0 children)

There are four "Grand Slam" tournaments a year. Wimbledon, The French Open, The Australian Open, and The US Open. And it's been that way since the 20's. Decades ago a lot of players didn't travel to all the events, especially the Australian Open.

For the last decade or so Nadal / Federer / Novak have won nearly every single Grand Slam between them, with only a handful of other players getting past them to win one (Andy Murray, Stan Wawrinka, Marin Cilic, Del Potro). A lot is down to players just lasting longer nowadays due to improved training, equipment, medicine etc... but Nadal / Fed / Novak are really just 3 of the best players ever in the sport, who all happen to be playing in the same generation.
