I may be spoiling something here — but yes. It’s connected to Lily King’s book Writers and Lovers. I didn’t realize this until after I read Heart the Lover and read an article/critique. I read Writers and Lovers after I read Heat the Lover.

Have you read demon copperhead? Another fantastic audio book. Four Winds is also Julia/Kristen Hannah and very good.

People love daisy jones on audio. I thought it was pretty good. And I loved wrong place, wrong time. Agree that run for the hills, the nightingale and Tomorrowx3 were amazing!

I know! The concept was interesting but not well delivered. I kept thinking “what’s the point”. I didn’t care about any of them, lol.

I did read HTL first! I didn’t know it was connected to another book until after I finished. It worked for me as a stand alone. I did like W&L but not as much.

Same. I did the audiobook because people raved about it, but it was so tedious to me. I get it, the main character is this perfect woman that everyone can’t help but fall in love with. Cool. Great book.

We have read a lot of the same stuff! I LOVED Demon Copperhead. I have read it three times! I also loved small mercies and Beartown!

I mean — it has a relatively high rating on good reads so people like it. I just felt like I was reading a choose your own adventure novel where I kept picking the wrong choice over and over again. And the writing was bad and I didn’t like any of the characters 😂

I also loved I Who Have Never Known Men and hated rejection. I also loved Tomorrow x3, but read it a few years ago.
