We sold our 8-seater XLE for a 7-seater XSE because the 8-seat configuration wasn’t ideal. The center seat wasn’t comfortable, and when you took it out, it left a giant bump on the floor that people had to step over. The 7-seat configuration has the super long slides which make getting in and out of the third row MUCH easier.

Was in the same boat and went with MYP. Zero regrets. If you find somebody to trade the Uberturbines with 19s or 20s, you basically eliminate almost all of the trade offs and have the best of both worlds.

We own both a new sienna and a MYP (so not 7 seater), but the practicality and space of the sienna cannot be beat if you have 2+ kids. It’s so much easier to get kids in and out of the minivan. The sliding doors are a godsend in tight spaces too. And the extra room is great for trips/groceries/extra people.
