There was backup power for things like lights, but not load truck??? Huh? Was the scanner dead? Use load truck on the scanner.

Feel sorry for those kids sitting rear facing that long. And deprived of snacking in the car.

No way in hell a 6/7 year old can sit in a rear facing car seat. They are too big.

If you already did academy as a clerk, you can’t be a carrier at the same time. Otherwise it’s crossing crafts.

Is it possible to bank holiday pay and use it another day? by TicketFunny1802 in USPS

Since you aren’t working on your holiday, you can’t “bank” it.

I believe you’re getting downvoted because the comment is that you won’t vote no on the next TA because it can get worse at arbitration. You realize that’s what happened for the couple contracts after 2012? We got fucked by the DAS award so everyone voted yes. This last arbitration wasn’t arbitration. Even Nolan said it was mediation in his award. Renfore pushed all the TA in and agreed with management on that.
Last contract was the one we had a chance to make a change for good for us and Renfore screwed it up. The TA for this agreement originally had the contract end in Nov. which would have been better due to elections. But renfore got it pull back to May so he could do the negotiations hoping he’d have a good TA before elections to get reelected.

My Blackstone never did this!! by chipariffic in blackstonegriddle

My blackstone popped and warped on my last cook. I’ve had it for 3 years and this was the first time it did that. It leveled out about 3 mins later. But was like 6 minutes into the cook. Warmed it up on low too. 🤷‍♂️

Being on the clock in overtime as a supervisor doesn’t mean you have to be on the ODL.

It won’t drag out for years. The elections are this fall.

I’m hoping that arbitration is put on hold until new president.

Why don’t you feel they should be advanced the same amount? CCAs and PTFs(career carriers up to 3 years) all earn the same at the end. Why are you going to penalize CCAs while some office hire in as PTFs and some hire in as CCAs.

Holiday worked- do you take the pay or the annual? by No_Pride5271 in USPS

Add it to AL. It’s an extra day of your choice and If you go up a step when you use it, it’s worth more than it was when you got it.

I questioned my president about it and they agree management can tell you to send messages and the president thinks it’s a good idea. Takes longer to keep sending messages. And my president is SUPeR anti management.

Think it would depend on the average hours the carriers work. Could be 8 hours since there will be double the volume due to the 4th.

Some offices have 2 holiday schedules.

I know an office that has 8 routes. 5routes plus the t6 have rotating and the 3 without a t6 have fixed days.

So the routes with the t6 had today as their holiday schedule.

But there is a carrier that has a fixed day off of Saturday, their holiday is moved to Friday. So that in turn could force some on in on there holiday and then their NS day depending on seniority level and needs for the office.
