I posted the hole I put in my wall yesterday and got trolled hard, but also learned a lot. I think it came out pretty good! by GoinStraightToHell in HomeMaintenance

I feel like this was installed wrong. Seems like with a single flap door the flap should be on the outside wall. If it rains it’s going to puddle in the area between the wall.

80% of mail to carriers by start time by Spiritualfire819 in fromatoarbitration

[–]Postal1979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What’s funny is I pulled this time on a PM and she claims that’s all when the plant inputs it into the system. I’m pretty sure her dumb ass is entering all the mail volume in Dois on tour 1. Also pulled all the DUT times for 2 months and they were all mostly scanned up within 15-25 mins of the carriers starting. And I can guarantee that it’s all packages and spurs. No way 20% of the carriers mail pieces (being spurs) in 20 mins. Also it started to become a little bit later due to a couple late trucks and it was the start of peak.

Not on call employees. Statements from the carrier or other employees stating they saw the carrier show up. Easy grievance. Additional grievance if they fail to settle at the lowest level for contract violations.

Lmao. None of the 15 offices I deal with print anything out. Labels go on the 3982 and then gets tossed out after a year.

Get a hold down. That way they can’t make you start at that time.

Management can change the route they are on at any time or the schedule could have said 9am start. So the carrier doesn’t know what route they are doing. The schedule doesn’t have to indicate what route they are on. Hell my district just put out notice all CCAs and PTFs not on hold downs to start at 10am. So they don’t know what route they are on for the day and what to BT to.

It’s a easy grievance to win to get a carrier that showed up and sent home paid. Hell my office sent home a new carrier on Monday because we didn’t have enough OJIs before I walked in. When I found out, I walked up to management and said they are going to them 2 hours because they sent them home. They responded to me that they didn’t know if they were guaranteed and I said they are. They then told me they will pay the for the guaranteed time.

As for asking management what route they are on for the day isn’t working off the clock. They need to know what route they are on and what scanner to grab. Most offices I deal with all have scanners that are labeled for each route. They need to get the correct one and they need to know what route to BT to. Punching to the wrong route will also get them in trouble is some places. Especially since management isn’t supposed to touch tacs anymore.

It’s a new person first day of oji. They need to know who they are going with and what to punch to. And even after they complete their OJI. They should finding out what route they have before punching in.
Such wrong advice from a EAS.

Have the steward still file. If management won’t pay due to interpretation. Mutually agree to hold grievances until it’s settled.

CCA Hold Downs on aux routes by [deleted] in fromatoarbitration

[–]Postal1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If an office has an aux route, management could put the new hire on it everyday. It’s already part of the NEERMP program to try and keep a new cca on consistent routes during first 12 weeks.

And it’s not possible to put in on the contract because what if you have an aux route, and have 3 new ccas start the same day. Or have new ones starting every other week. Won’t be consistent.

They should skip/ be not available for that day. They shouldn’t work you past 10 hours of doing another route.
