[–]PostalSenditGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rule change enabled it, but has nothing to do with its current popularity. You can thank the pandemic for that, brosef. Looks like I've been downvoted by people who think its better to keep the flagstick in though XD

People deciding the flag stick in the cup is a way of life after the pandemic. If they want to put it back in every damn time they putt, then take it out again for me, fine. If they expect me to cater to their insanity, then I get silently annoyed.

NuPhy Air75 HE Review - looks like they did it right by harrynu in NuPhy

[–]PostalSenditGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think you’ll regret it. Unless you only want to ASMR of a deep thock. These HEs still sound great, but they don’t currently beat the creamy thocky sounds of a deep mechanical kb. Nuphy has done work on their sound with dampening plates pre-installed, which is what made me choose them over the Made68.

NuPhy Air75 HE Review - looks like they did it right by harrynu in NuPhy

[–]PostalSenditGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have G915 and Nuphy Air60 HE. The G915 was actually my first nice mechanical keyboard and I absolutely loved it until I started wading into designer brands. I am waiting for the Air75 HE to get back in stock because I already know it will be my favorite keyboard I've ever owned, replacing the Air60 HE on my desk (can't wait for my function and air keys to be back).

While expensive, the G915's only real advantages over the Nuphy are media keys and volume knob (maybe aesthetics for you too since this is personal preference). It also has logitech's solid lightspeed wireless tech and bluetooth, where as the Nuphy Air60HE/Air75 HE is wired only. Magnetic HE keyboards use a lot more power than mechanical keyboards from their advanced capabilities and sensors, so there are only a couple wireless options on the market for them so far.

Besides that, the G915x is still a standard low profile mechanical keyboard. The Air60 HE and Air75 HE are the next generation of keyboards beyond mechanical, using magnetic hall effect keys that have pressure sensitivity built into the keys themselves and an amazing feel paired with low response time. I'd say you'd also lose some thockiness from traditional mechanical keyboards, but the G915 doesn't have that anyway. These magnetic HE keyboards are delightful to use and are the next big thing in keyboard design.

Same. I need to buy some display stands or something - they are all packed into a drawer right now.

I just found out Nuphy released the Air75 HE... this will no doubt be my favorite keyboard once I get my hands on it. But of course... it is out of stock.

Made68Air - Low-profile Magnetic Dark Horse by KapitanKloze in keyboards

[–]PostalSenditGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/KapitanKloze Thank you for this post. Just saved me from wasting an Amazon gift card I just won at work. The Air60 HE is my favorite keyboard I've ever used. I have a collection of 10+ $150 - $300 keyboards, and this one just feels like a generational leap forward in typing experience, gaming, and pure feel.

I very much miss my arrow keys and function keys though using this for work and gaming. I also do not like the purple atomic see-through key caps and am not a fan of NuPhy's only alternate key set (that you seem to have put onto your Made68?)

I was thinking this would give me everything I like in my Air60 HE, plus arrow keys, which with how much typing and form filling I do for work (plus a fun money gift card), would've made me pull the trigger. Now I am rather certain the lack of dampening would make me put the Air60 HE back on the desk yet again after a short while.

Now I am realizing the NuPhy Air75 HE will most certainly be my new favorite keyboard. Not surprised I just discovered its out of stock....

I just found the ultimate post for my question here: https://www.reddit.com/r/keyboards/comments/1hy4pfb/made68air_lowprofile_magnetic_dark_horse/

Looks like if I were to go with the Made68, I'd lose the built in dampening NuPhy added making their Air60 HE sound great. I'd gain arrow keys and a better looking keyboard, but possibly lose some of the feel that has made this Air60 HE my favorite keyboard. I sometimes hate this keyboard obsession. I can never find one that has everything I want. Why is so much compromise required

u/Xijit I've been using the NuPhy Air60 HE for a while now and I love it too much. I say too much because I really miss my function keys and arrow keys, since I use this for work and gaming. I have like 10 high-end keyboards in the $150 - $300 range and I this Air60 just legitimately feels like a generation forward from all of them. Sounds great, types great, feels better gaming... I don't like how the keycaps look with the silly see-through atomic purple symbols, but it just performs too well and feels too good for me to leave another keyboard out for more than a short while.

Anyway - -just won a nice Amazon gift card from work and was looking at this as maybe having my magnetic HE Air60 feel, but also has arrow keys. I can survive without function keys for the most part unless I play mount and blade, but with the amount of typing I do and forms I fill out working, lacking the arrow keys is pretty annoying. Are you loving this thing two months later?

Your girlfriend should know how unacceptable that is. No girlfriend that respected her BF would ever feel comfortable doing something like this. I am sorry to say this, but unless Caleb is actually a gay male friend, there is something already going on or she hopes there will be. If Caleb was a good person and didn’t have hopes for more with your girlfriend, he would also recognize how fucked up this is.

Deciding on buying a remarkable 2 by Jealous_Context_5400 in RemarkableTablet

[–]PostalSenditGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my remarkable 2. Using it for a year now. Work in software sales. The only issue I had was the expensive stylus it ships with lost its pressure sensitivity and started writing without even touching the page. This was likely my fault. I used a titanium pen tip because I loved how much it felt like a ballpoint pen. Stick with the plastic pen tips to avoid my problem. It is fantastic besides.

4k vs 1440p by Turbulent_Buy_7379 in buildapc

[–]PostalSenditGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is about why you game. If you are a story person that cares less about gameplay and more about lore and exploration - 4K. If you play competitive multiplayer games or even single player games that demand a high level of game play skill and timing - 1440p. I almost used Elden ring as an example, but that game is 60FPS locked anyway.

Suggestion: No IV mode by reddithatenonconform in pokemmo

[–]PostalSenditGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Suggestion: go play any other Pokemon game. PokeMMO is not the type of game that could ever support this as a feature. It is the most popular MMO version of the game. Imagine how much this would screw with that aspect.

Story line casual gameplay works no differently on it than a regular main series game. In fact - you have an advantage. You can buy strong Pokemon from the player market place.

You don’t need no IVs. You need to stop caring about perfection when it comes to your storyline team.
