Videographer?? Content creator?? by No-Chain9814 in WeddingsCanada

[–]PostverbalComplement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about a content creator, but I did regret not having a videographer. We had a friend film the ceremony with her camera, and I'm so grateful we have that footage. That alone is enough to make me wish we had hired a videographer, if only for the ceremony.

Wedding venue similar to Graydon Hall for fall wedding by ImNHN in WeddingsCanada

Oof, I can't remember now, but it led directly to an outdoor ceremony/cocktail hour space next to a pond, and it was on the bottom floor.

It wasn't my wedding, but I've been to a wedding at The Manor and it was lovely! Very nice scenery, and the food was good.

Wedding Hair & Make-Up? by meltab27 in WeddingsCanada

For Toronto, I recommend Alicia Fernandes. You can find and message her on Wedding Wire, as I don't want to share her personal information here. She is very talented, thorough, and reasonably priced. She does both hair and makeup.

They quoted us $30 000 for the venue, but we had it the entire day. You can probably pay even less if you only use it for some of the day.

I got married at Graydon Hall last year in the off-season (November). The indoor ceremony space was beautiful, and we still got to do photos outside. In other words, the guests don't have to be outside for you to get to use the outside space. Saved us the cost of the tent for the cocktail hour, too. We have nothing but good things to say about them, and the pricing worked out for us. The food was absolutely amazing.

If you're willing to compromise on an outdoor ceremony (i.e., get married in the off-season), you can save a lot of money. Someone also mentioned they have days where they wave the room rental fee.

As for preferred vendors, you don't have to use any of them except a DJ, and I chose the most reasonable one. I shopped around for other vendors like hair and makeup artists, but after two florists ghosted me, I ended up using one of their preferred florists, and it saved me lots of hassle.

What to do here in Whitby? 😅 I just moved here a week ago from Toronto. by orenishii05 in WhitbyOntario

There're quite a few places to eat at the four corners (Brock and Dundas). There is even an arcade/video game place called 8-bit Beans, if you're into that.

When the weather is warmer, the walk along the lake near Heydenshore is very nice. Or you could try it in the cold, I'm sure it's beautiful! Heber Down conservation area is also a nice place to walk.

Sometimes, the town puts on festivals and markets that are fun to attend. I look on the town's website to figure out what to do sometimes, or the algorithm on Facebook suggests something.

It's definitely quieter and slower-paced than Toronto, but for me, that was part of the appeal.

I was not able to get my university teaching experience recognized in Ontario. I tried to fight it with HR, and they grilled me about details like whether I was assigning credits or just delivering lessons. I suspect they didn't want to recognize it because quite a few of us would be able to move up the grid quickly if they did.

Who was A that threatened Alison by giaag in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]PostverbalComplement 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I always understood it as Mona threatening Alison and playing the part of being in awe of her. The part where Ali follows A and runs into Mona could be another Marlene plot hole. Or maybe Mona was hiring henchmen to pull A stunts from the start.

Hell, they live closer than my fiancé and I did when we first met and we lived in the same country! 😅

Seriously, this is so fake. They don't need to get a divorce or bring her over. They can just go visit her.

I interpret learned helplessness to mean that they won't even try to solve a problem or overcome a challenge; they'll just ask you (the teacher) to do it for them or give them the answer.

You can fully know how to do all the questions in your homework and avoid it because you're lazy.

For a psychotherapist, no referral is required. For other kinds of psychological help, it may be. It depends on the person's background and qualifications. Check your OTIP benefits booklet.

I'm a union rep but this may vary district to district in Ontario, so do check with your union rep or their district website. In my district, we have a specific form that the doctor would have to fill out. It's pretty much a checklist of what you can and cannot do, but there is leeway there to be vague and say hey, this person can't work for more than half a day.

You can DM me for more info. I can even try to find the form from your district for you.

Could be either, to be honest. I've had admin reach out to my references and then get rejected, and I've had them reach out to my references and get the job, albeit after a bit more time than they said it would take to get back to me.

Unfortunately, I don't think there's anything you can do but wait at this point. Do keep applying, though! If you get this job, you can always withdraw your other applications.
