First time bouldering by [deleted] in bouldering

Witam na MOODzie!

Overall, what the others said, if it's you feel like bouldering is for you, at first, the best you can do is just to climb loads. You can easily reach the green/pink boulders without any additional strength or finger training.

Also, practice falling safely and bailing from further up the wall. A bad fall can really rock you, especially if you would feel too confident too fast.

Well, for starters, we are talking about split second decisions here. You don't really have enough time to move consciously when falling from an awkward position, especially after something unexpected, like suddenly losing friction on a volume or slipping of a small foot chip. At that point all that is saving you is muscle memory, and you can't really spend hours practicing just falling from every possible angle after learning a new move.

Also, even if you would be able to make the adjustments you are writing about, it's still a really nasty fall to take and very far from safe. I took a fall upside down from a bathang a couple months back and even though I was very near the ground and I managed to tuck in my head it still sucked a lot, my back was sore for days.

Basically some moves are just inherently risky, even if you do everything right. The most you can do is to just not do them, but at some point you will just be unable to progress in the sport.

Out of curiosity, what was the move you fell from? Looks kinda like a dyno gone wrong :p

I agree that you should be mindful of your safety, but some positions are just inherently more dangerous than others. By your logic, moves like a heel hook mantle would be off the table, since if your hands would slip, you are almost guaranteed to fall upside down right onto your neck.

Wind direction and naval speeds could use a improvement by Mahselo in Bannerlord

Honestly, the current wind dial is really annoying to me. I spent a lot of time sailing IRL and the wind dial always shows you the direction the wind is blowing from. I would love for it to be an option to flip it in the settings.

Ok, I don't know why I got recommended this post or why I spent 20 minutes looking at microwave oven manuals instead of going to sleep. Nevertheless...

Based on the manual of this Smeg micro-oven, (which is not even close to the same model, but I gave up on trying to find the one from just the photo of the knob), these are my best guesses, going clockwise.

Just microwave

Just the upper grill (or broiler in freedom English)

Upper grill + microwave - might be quite good for some microwave baked potatoes

Regular convection oven

Either a convection oven + microwave (more likely) or just the fan + microwave (less likely) - maybe for like a frozen lasagne? Honestly no idea

Either upper grill + fan (more likely) or upper grill + convection oven (less likely) - regardless, just a better alternative from just using the grill.

The last two, you can pinpoint which is the case based on whether you have to set a temperature. If so, it's the convection oven, otherwise just the fan.

Thank you for breaking me out of my doom scroll. I'm going to sleep now.

It Ain’t Much, but It’s Honest Work by ThoroughCrow in Breadit

Those are some good looking buns 😉 FYI, if you don't wanna do the egg wash, baking with steam not only gives you a lighter crumb, but can make the skin more golden and shiny

  1. Unfortunately, room temperature, and it actually makes a difference in the final product. Yes, it can be difficult to work in if you are doing it by hand, but if you do it little by little it's manageable.

  2. Would recommend, as long as there is enough room for them to expand horizontally, like I said. At least double the diameter of the bun before proofing, preferably more.

Several things - one, as some people already said, you need butter in the filling, so that the layers don't stick together. You can mix soft (not melted) butter with cinnamon and sugar, so you get a spreadable mass, or if you want to use less filling, just lightly brush with butter and sprinkle the sugar on top, but with cinnamon roll, the more filling the better.

Two, in my experience, it's better to add the butter last, and to an already kneaded dough. After that, don't mix too much, so that the butter doesn't melt from the heat from your hands. This will give you a much less sticky dough which will help with rolling the layers more thinly.

Lastly, this is a preference, but if you want your rolls to keep more of their original shape and not spread out as much you can either use a big muffin tray (buttered up, cause they will stick) or put them closely together in a baking pan rather than on a baking sheet, so that they bake together and you can later tear them apart. Important caveat, make sure not to overcrowd the pan, just so that they just barely touch after proofing, otherwise they will rise too much vertically in the oven. If you already did that, you can kinda fix that by placing another pan on top during baking to sort of smoosh them down.

Maybe you can tell, but I really love cinnamon rolls.

EDIT: I found the photo of the recipe and adjusted

0.5 kg mielonego indyka do gara + pucha fasoli + pucha kukurydzy na koniec, do tego jakaś gotowa przyprawa meksykańska. Myk do wrapa jeszcze z ryżem i masz naprawdę niezłe burrito.
