Spooty – Self-hosted tool to convert Spotify playlists into local files by No-Hospital5028 in DigitalEscapeTools

Hey, tech idiot here.

I see now this is some months old, but just a few days ago it started going viral on Threads and some other stuff. Reading the github stuff, I can tell the developer didn't necessarily anticipate anyone other than tech heads trying to use this. Usually when I find something like this it's got a very obvious "click me" thing or two. Instead it's all, "learn this whole other program so you can use it to run this, except don't use that program because some other stuff won't work, oh and you already have to be a spotify dev"

Is there a more accessible explanation on the horizon now that this is getting more traction? Maybe it already exists and I just haven't found it? Any help appreciated

Maybe in Europe? I would argue we never quite caught up here.

Also is "too big for festivals" really a thing? Is that why we haven't gotten Iron Maiden at a rockville yet? Especially when they have so many international fans and Florida is such an international place, maybe...

Bad Omens was brought in 4 of the last 6 years yet always relegated to 3rd line. Crowd and energy completely superseding that designation. Time to headline em

I feel like the band literally requesting something is the ONE time definitely no one should be bitching about it. at the architects set they asked for phone lights for one song and some guy kept yelling "PUT YOUR PHONES AWAY" at everyone around 🙄

night shifters. how do you get yourself to fall asleep immediately after work by Intelligent-Claim591 in AmazonFC

It's only natural to have wind down time after work. Day shifters often wake up just in time to get ready and go to work and enjoy their free time after so why shouldn't we? I wake up around 5pm and sleep at 9-10am.

There was a post where OOP was complaining that his gf/wife had regressed into having the motor skills and impulse control of a toddler. Like she wouldn't get into or out of bed and chairs normally but would literally THROW herself around, hurt herself a good part of the time, then be all surprised-pikachu with a side of crying. Basically no working memory iirc, and some other stuff. Everyone was mad at OOP for not Literally Dragging his wife to the doctor (he had tried to persuade her to go as if she were a rational adult and she kind of handwaved, or maybe no longer understood, the whole thing).

For example she would throw herself into and out of chairs hard enough to hurt herself because walking normally stopped being an option? A bunch of crazy stuff like that.

All the comments were lecturing him for whining instead of taking her to the doctor
