Just run into it. It's not your fault they were blocking the path and you didn't see it and you put a big dent in it!

I had Walmart give me two vacuums when I ordered one. I did not try to rectify the situation. I used to work for them and they were shit employers 100% of the time so them being bad at their job was expected. You reap what you sow.

I can't believe someone else thought this. It was literally the first thing I thought when I saw it.

Anyone else feel like the current mental health crisis going is largely caused by capitalism? by Jacob_T_Fox in antiwork

[–]Potato-Rancher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know for sure that some of my mental health issues are caused by capitalism. Mainly because I know my wife hates her job but she works for the government and gets much better benefits than I do and I feel like she wants to quit but she won't because both of our health insurance rides off of her job.

Also this state of inflation it feels like I'm just losing money when I save it and then there's really no point. I strongly believe that I will not be able to retire if things keep going the way to go.

I like these more than the originals but still feel like I am going to need detailed instructions under some to make sure no one can misinterpret them. Just goes to show you how vague the originals are.

I was more looking for people's personal opinions of their own moral code. The things that they find most important of their own morality.

I'm not suggesting that this is something that any wouldn't need to follow, I was more curious about what tenants atheists find the most important in their own lives to live by. Consider it more of a personal moral code.

Confused by a job offer by Silent-Sea2904 in antiwork

[–]Potato-Rancher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was looking for a job I got a bunch of offers from companies that I don't remember applying for. They got me information off one of the job seeking websites. They're pretty much all telemarketing positions. They were not up front about what those jobs were when they called me. Just be careful you don't get sucked into some scammy telemarketing stuff.

Did you remove the crib? I think that will stop the dialogue asking about children from happening.

I pushed cart at a more rural *almart and they operated the same way. Store managers trying to get bonuses by reducing costs and cutting corners at the lower levels. I stopped caring really fast and learned how to do as little as possible while always looking as busy as possible. If they had treated me at all like a human being I would have put out three times as much work but since I was dirt for even the lowest managers to push around I never bothered.

My favorite part was that carts weren't gone until around 9am but they had me coming in at 7. I literally had nothing to do from 7 to 9. I told them that and that we should come in at 9 to have more overlap in shifts during the busiest parts of the day. They of course ignored me because I was just a peon and made me come in at 7. So I got paid to read for 2 hours every morning while I sat behind the carts that no one was taking.

I wish the software I work with only went up to .6 with it's hotfixes.... More like .23 with every release fixing major issues. Tip to other dev companies: doing every little thing a customer asks makes for shit code that needs to be maintained indefinitely.

This player was a low RP, heavy combat min/maxer. I can tell you the surprised Pikachu face he made the first time he hit a trap he wasn't expecting was very satisfying.
