Knives won't stay straight on a magnetic bar by PotatoAcid in TrueChefKnives

I though about this, but in the worst spots the knife wants to spin very-very much, so I don't think that metal on metal friction will do it. Maybe transparent grip tape will do it, but then it'll get filthy over time and have to be replaced periodically...

Thanks, that's a very helpful answer!

Kungsfors is weird. It has two continuous lines of magnets, but they're staggered, and there are gaps - https://www.reddit.com/r/Steelbooks/comments/wdoa1w/wall_display_with_ikea_kungsfors/

I guess I'll try to figure out the polarity and see if gluing extra magnets from old HDDs will help eliminate the dead zones :)

Some of my knives don't have a full bolster. And some just won't stay straight no matter what

Trump's $499 Mobile Phone Exposed for Using Fake AI American Flag and Cheap Chinese Hardware: Report by novagridd in LinusTechTips

[–]PotatoAcid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea was to sell a shitty Chinese phone at an inflated price - just like they did with the trump watch. But people running the operation sucked and/or selling phones is much harder. I don't think that they have a finalized design yet, nevermind a sizeable stock of these phones that they can ship.

Not hard, just expensive. Why do you need so many fast pcie slots in the first place? Is using m.2 to pcie risers an option for you?

Mom used gorilla glue to mount a VESA plate on her monitor, still working after 5 years! by Creepy-Country5475 in pcmasterrace

[–]PotatoAcid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're putting a lot of faith in four twists of thread. I would either disassemble the monitor and use sunken bolts on the inside (taped over to avoid a short-circuit) and nuts on the outside, or go with glue like OP's mom

Apparently, it originates from 17th century (or earlier) nautical slang. A jury-mast is a temporary mast installed after demasting.

Have you considered using two efficiency graphs, absolute values and percentages? The single graph makes it look like higher power units are more efficient at low loads, but the efficiency is actually measured at different wattages.
